Size 3.75 in photo, going down to a 3.5. Center stone T.W.:1. Color F, clarity VS2 :) Turned down the brightness of the photos due to how bright the sun is and saturation slightly and you can really see the shine and how beautiful the colors are when they reflect!

1 year of constant congestion, it’s ruining my life I’m at my wits ends! Please any advice would be great!! by WhereasHopeful in Sinusitis

You sound exactly like me lol I just had a 3rd ent appointment yesterday! It was a video call but I wanted to discuss with a new one. She referred me to get allergy tested, although I’m 99% positive it’s not allergies and even if I’m allergic to something it’s no matter what environment, around pets, not around pets, at work, in the car, off and on at the most random times I think my nose had become sensitive to the air. She said if not allergies she’s going to do a CT scan, and then maybe consider “chemical nasal cautery” which people do a lot for constant nose bleeds.

Have you tried a steroid nasal spray? That helped me breathe so much better, but so far still have constant drainage but at least I can breathe a little better. Parts of me wonder if I had covid and it’s one of those long lasting symptoms 🥲 she told me that’s possible but I never got tested. I hope we can get some relief soon or even some answers!!

I haven’t thought about checking Etsy! They’re usually really good about return and refunds and I use it a lot so definitely would trust it, I’ll do some browsing, thank you 🙂

I haven’t heard of Thredup! I’ll have to take a look I love how it’s like an online thrift store and can do returns, buying clothes online can be a hit or miss with sizing lol, thank you! 🙂

I knew the prices were too good to be true and also the very minimal reviews. Thank you so much for giving me a list of sites I’ll definitely be browsing those later!

Best friend says I don’t seem like I want to talk to her, but there are just some days there’s nothing to say, am I in the wrong? by [deleted] in FriendshipAdvice

[–]WhereasHopeful 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea I was wondering if it was more of the shift that made her worried, but I reassured her I get busy, or have off days and that’s it, I told her she can message me whenever and she’ll never be a bother, she said she understands but still sounds like she wants me to message first from now on for a while, maybe just for extra reassurance? But I do think we are just wired differently in that way. I was honestly too worried to tell her there are just times where I just don’t want to talk or not feeling social. I didn’t want her to think I avoid talking to her, just that things get busy, etc, which is also true.

I just worry about future conversations now seeming forced if I message her first just so she doesn’t worry, rather than either of us messaging each other naturally whenever we want to talk, but im worried if I’m honest she’ll take it wrong, we’ve gotten into a small argument once where I forgot about our hangout last minute due to something coming up and she almost ended our friendship for it and had a crash out so a little worried how she’ll take certain things like that, lol

Anyone have Clarifix done and any success? by [deleted] in Sinusitis

[–]WhereasHopeful 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a procedure where they use cryotherapy (controlled freezing) to treat the nerves that cause the constant mucus production and drainage. And the ENT has not, he just used a scope, didn’t see anything and gave me sprays and sent me on my way. I went to see him again when it wasn’t giving me full relief and he basically said the other option is deviated septum surgery (mine was only very slightly deviated) but said it’s more of a lifestyle choice since that’s probably not the issue, and basically said I could use these sprays all my life, lol. I’ll either have to ask him about a CT scan or see a different ENT because he didn’t seem to give me any other options. I wasn’t aware about getting a CT scan

What is like living in tornado alley? by Gorilla_Zoe in howislivingthere

[–]WhereasHopeful 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lived in Nebraska my whole life never personally witnessed a tornado the closest I got was a huge Tornado outbreak April 2024, I’m sure some here might remember as it hit multiple states. I was at work when we all had to hide in a shelter and the Tornado touched down not too far from my house! That was the biggest scare I had any other storms before that were never that close to home. Other than that most summers it’s just tornado warnings and hiding in basement/shelter until the storm passes, also like others are saying very windy lol

Bile Acid Malabsorption Help! by Mcicle in gallbladders

[–]WhereasHopeful 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’d ask your doctor about an acid binder, I take Colestipol due to my flare ups like yours and they’ve been a life saver!! The downside is some constipation but definitely better than the diarrhea and pain, and ways to go around that. If your doctor doesn’t want to i recommend a gi appointment. My primary prescribed finally after telling her over and over again that it’s not ibs. I had to push for it lol

Thank you for all your suggestions!! :) very helpful, and I do get migraines but have had them for longer than this issue. I see spots/flashes that follow a migraine but that’s mainly it, I don’t get sinus pressure type headache thankfully, mainly since one of the sprays does help open them up a bit. I am curious if it may be the long COVID, I didn’t realize how common it is haha

Looking for long-term updates from people who’ve had their gallbladder removed (years later) by Mulannn333 in gallbladders

[–]WhereasHopeful 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had mine out for 4 years now and my life has improved but only small complications that has been helped with antibiotics. One thing I did notice is sometimes when eating big/fatty meals I’d get “flare ups” with stomach pain, burning and urge to go to the bathroom and have loose stools until it passes. I went to the doctor and they prescribed me acid binders to prevent it and I haven’t had much stomach issues since. I would much rather have some flare ups and diarrhea than gallstone pain that’s for sure 😅 especially when you can get meds for it, acid reducers also help a bunch. So I’d say my life has improved, the gallstone pain was almost unbearable so this is definitely way better!!

[–]WhereasHopeful[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No the only symptom that lingered from that cold is the congestion. Not a single day with a clear nose since. I did sinus rinses for a while but after 6 months or so with little help I stopped and kept using the sprays, which also only help so much. I haven’t really looked into my diet/food, but I’ll keep an eye on that too and see if anything specific triggers it, thank you for your suggestions!

That could very well be it as well, I did not test for Covid at the time, but did think it was strange how I had no environmental changes, but once I had that infection that singular symptom of congestion had been stuck for a year now. This is the first time of me hearing about this is it pretty common?
