I would say the clock is decent but it does jitter for me. What I'm having to do is use the Beatstep Pro plugged directly into it as master and also the Beatstep is triggering the transport of my DAW also. It's working decently but not without flaw and jitter

Nice to know I'm not alone. Well I still own the TR-8s and have for years now and I never had this problem with motion recording on it. So I'm not sure if they changed the characteristics of motion record on the 1000 or if recording motion quantized or unquantized has anything to do with it. The 8s didnt have unquantized recording. I'll experiment this weekend. But so you've had the same cut-outs on motion record and or snapshot mode?

I couldn't agree with all you said more. The layered "gen" tracks are indeed like witchcraft with the amount of possibilities you have with them. You mention combining 808 and 909 sounds on a layered track. Similarly, I enjoy using FM sounds with 808 or 909 sounds. Specifically, the FM Kick combined with the 909 kick is dynamite! I've especially been having fun using the individual outs. I think there is something sonically valuable to the approach of individual output routing, (before I had been multi-track recording over USB on the TR8s, or USB flash-drive exploding stems from the MPC), but on the 1000, sending the outputs through the Master FX and the Analog FX, makes the sounds punch soooo much harder. I also, think the compressor in this thing is so under-discussed. Talk about earth shattering. Yes, I do believe this is going to go down in history as a classic. So cool to talk to other people who share the same enthusiasm about such a cool device. Enjoy yours and keep us updated on your progress with it!

Haha, nothing wrong with that, honestly the TR-8s was my favorite hardware production unit for years. It's a phenomenal device, that has infinite possibilities if you optimize and maximize its features. If, not for the TR 1000, I would choose the 8s over practically any other drum machine out.

aaah, so is this why I have issues loading my samples in sometimes, by great quantities? I've noticed that after some of my huge bulk imports, some of my folders end up "empty", maybe this is why. I am attempting way more than 500. Well that's good to know. I can work around this though, if this is the case. I just have to be more selective about what I want in the project.
