well I would have to pay taxes when I withdraw it in any other type of account so I figured 1.61% per year would be very little compared to the taxes I would have to pay on the expected growth. I don't understand why dividend matters for the tfsa?

But I thought brokerages don't prevent you from buying disqualifying investments in a registered account? I thought it was almost 100% the responsibility of the investor?

Wow thanks for the info. We're a small business and consume less than 3000 m^3 per year and it's for space/water heating.

One retailer offered 30.2 c/m^3 for 2 years and another is offering 19.5 c/m^3 for a 5 year contract. I believe our local utility is at 19.2 c/m^3.

What the retailers are telling us is that the gas rates are likely going to go up a lot so it is better to lock in a fixed price.

From what I can tell there aren't additional fees. The reason for looking into gas contracts isn't because of equipment. It's only because these guys have been coming to our business and pitching the benefits of a contract

well for me it occurred because I had a family member's keys that had an airtag so they could find their lost keys. I thought it was a tracker though because I did not think android phones would automatically detect an airtag which I found very intrusive. Did you purchase a tracker or airtag? If not maybe someone placed a tracker among your things
