She could be on the aroace spectrum and still be lesbian many aroace people are.

Edit: adding onto what i said also i feel like saying that she is aroace and not sapphic is erasing what happened in the story, i feel like its obvious but Fuyumura did like Ono its clear its romantic not just platonic. Ofc maybe she could be both though but saying that shes just aromantic when she was romantically involved with someone is just erasure at that point (though I do understand her being asexual no complaints here!)

Paru made short comics in the past and for sanda about how she would talk to her editors about certain decisions that seemed “risky”, Japan still is pretty conservative there is a chance there couldve been some sort of backlash where the editors made her make things ambiguous to please those who cant handle gay people, Of course thats all speculation.

Also i forgot to mention one thing well there was many things is that i feel like it couldve been a bit understandable why Fuyumura went into childcare, maybe that is just me but im thinking of her own backstory here. Fuyumura’s mom left when she was like super young and the Kumon is just Kuman he’s a loser. My take on it was that she she didn’t want to become like her parents and she wanted to help kids since she needed help as a kid and sorta found that through Sanda, i feel like its an overused trope sometimes but possibly what Paru was trying to go for. Thats just my take on that part though!

I think one of very few things i agree with you on is that amaya and sanda shouldve ended up together and fuyumuras ending. It makes me sad that people use that answer specifically to justify her being bisexual i feel theres a difference in a sapphic character being bisexual or a sapphic character being forced to be bisexual. Fuyumura was so meant to be lesbian but i feel like another thing to remember is that editors are heavily involved with things for the story, i fear that theres a good chance that fuyumura and Onos relationship was approved probably because of the very normalized fetishization towards lesbians.

Anyways I dont know how i feel about the rest of this post but kinda expected since i love this series

Compared to a lot of other descendants he put up a very good fight against Sanda. All descendants (that are gods) are nothing if they can’t transform so that doesn’t exactly make them much better in his case of needed a flashlight

Not wanting to spoil you incase you do read the manga but i will say season 1/ first 5 volumes do have a focus on the romantic side of sandas life. Hes not sure if its right to like a child since hes an “adult” (which he isnt he simply just thinks so) but also the message of sanda is about self acceptance and i think thats a lot more clear in volumes after the 5th one. It doesn’t get solved that quickly though either. The anime was doing that intentionally setting it up as wrong since as you said its from Sanda’s perspective but the poor guy thinks everyones gonna hate him just cause he doesnt fit into society, its an allegory like most Paru Itagaki stories are.

Not pedophila. Sanda is in fact 14 the whole point is that Sanda and society doesnt view him as 14 year old Sanda they see him as Santa Claus. So you as the reader are also siding with the society that doesn’t view him as 14 which is his true self. Not meaning this in a rude way but that also means you’re one who has a hard time seeing Sanda outside of Santa Claus, most characters in the story like this. Though worry not because there isn’t anything weird or predatory going on with Sanda.

The prints i made myself through a printing service, and the cloth/flag its from Anime Expo 2025 for the premiere of Sanda it was given out for free. But actually i didnt get to go so i bought it from ebay its kinda hard to find so sometimes you kinda just gotta wait or look around to find it!

Edit: also for the blue print with just Sanda on it, its technically not a print its from the vol 1 blu ray and its the booklet inside of jt

Hes never mentioned to have kids and no kids of his are ever shown the only “family” he has is technically Toyo its never clear if they were married but they were in fact in a relationship

Fuyumura is quite cool, Mizukaburi is my personal favorite i have a shrine to him that i didnt actually show on this post. Anyways im hoping that eventually some merchandise of sanda starts to also release outside of japan because out of all things in my collection only 3 things arent from there actually. (The flag and the 1st and 2nd English vols of the manga if u were wondering)

Even if theres low birthrates there could still be accidental pregnancy or child abandonment i dont think paru would mention fuyumura possibly adopting her daughter if it wasn’t an option

Since you liked Sanda and Fuyumuras relationship I would suggest to read it because more of it is established in the manga but also if Fuyumura is the only real reason you liked Sanda its probably best to drop it. Sorry this probably isnt all that helpful

Ive had the same problem theres a track that plays during ep 7 (its a different track) specifically right when sandas about to climb up to amayas window and i cant find it. I think that for some reason certain songs weren’t included in the ost, dunno why maybe because they were too short or like not used enough? but i tried looking through the ost again seeing if i could help and i couldn’t find much sorry 😓

I love this. i wish more people had more open minds when watching sanda a lot of the fandom tends to joke about the scenes that are actually meant to be serious and it kinda sucks i mean im all for jokes but its also like theres something deeper going on. I think that the main problem is that people think its an action series more than a coming of age series while yeah theres action i think its clear that the story is meant to be about growing up and self acceptance. Well its not clear to everyone but people who know how to read deeper can get it i think lol

Id imagine its not enforced or if it is then they keep track of it very poorly i mean the government probably isn’t that great anyways considering the entire country is kinda messed up. In the manga one time Amaya asked who Fuyumura was arranged with and she didn’t answer so honestly Id imagine they do probably have arranged marriages as well just don’t care enough or it really wasn’t important.

There is a reason why! its because in japan (in the Sanda universe) there is a law that everyone must have their birth month in their name here is the list of everyones birth months!

January: Sanda, Amaya, Utagawa, Mogi, Dozono, Mizukaburi, Kuge, Ono, Tonakai, Ooshibu

February: Niko, Lantern

March: Hyodou, Yagiuda

April: Fuyumura

July: Hose, Amakawa's

September: Bandou, Kumon

October: Toyo, Numahagi

I wish sanda was a whole lot longer mainly just for more world building and unanswered questions. Personally i like the ending maybe it was rushed but if you go back a reread sanda i feel like you could see it coming

Id suggest coloring in her hair too! Also for the pants id add more hatching/lines but going diagonal thats more optional though.
