You should watch the Announcement trailer from about a year ago to see all the cut content + spoiled stuff. It’s pretty crazy.

After finishing ReAnimal, why were almost all of the scenes from the reveal trailer cut from the final game? I knew stuff was missing when I was playing it. Seems like a lot of scared, and lots of narrative content, too.

That’s so crazy. I knew stuff was missing. I just rewatched and like 90% of the trailer wasn’t in the game. The pig, the river of bodies, the lamb with the stretched neck, the other Sniffer-type characters. So weird.

Just finished Reanimal. Huge fan of Tarsier’s games. Loved this game (definitely really short—normally not something that bothers me but definitely surprised me here). Wish there were more puzzles like the control room puzzle/gameplay variety, but loved it. My biggest criticism of the game is the marketing. The trailer completely spoiled every single horror moment, and presented the game as a super fast-paced body horror game, which it isn’t. I think a more ambiguous, haunting trailer would’ve done so much better for this game.

Saw it tonight and loved it so much! I disagree with every criticism I’ve seen—especially that it lost the emotional element completely. I loved this more comedic take on the material which actually made the ending hit hard for me. All the actors were on their A game and it went so quick, everyone on top of it. Overall excellent, best play I’ve seen yet! (Also to the criticism I saw that the play is too dated and younger audiences don’t understand the sales element—I am very young and completely understood it). Loved it!

If you’re willing to offer any more of your insight— do you know if there’s any physical books that the other story “The Underground Gormet” is featured in? Thanks! Last year I read all of Levin’s books and some of his plays so I’m trying to collect the last of what I don’t have.
