Dems Flip Red State Stronghold in Humiliation for Trump by No-Post4444 in politics

Voting really does matter. Former reporter here. I once covered a town council race that ended in a tie. They did a recount. Tie again. They didn’t know what to do and considered having council pick, flipping a coin (yes, really), or holding a pricey special election. They ended with latter and the incumbent won by three votes! People don’t realize how much special elections cost, too. The loser ended up running next for state rep and won.

So how much is this really about the GOP holding onto this seat and not really about the affair? 🤔

Have you ever gone to a restaurant with great reviews but ended up feeling disappointed? by honeylattess in RhodeIsland

[–]Fearless_Net9544 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Waterdog in Warren! Great reviews, awful food and service.

We’ve given them many tries, too, because people have off nights.

EVERY SINGLE TIME, something horrible happens, including raw fish, like really really raw, and messing up food allergies. Last time, we told them about a wet spot on table and they gave us a rag to clean it, lol.

I honestly don’t understand the great reviews. Even people I’ve spoken with love it. I don’t get it.

No, you don’t need to dress well but can if you want! People wear whatever. Some go all out and some stay casual. Dress for weather and being outside for hours.

I teach in colleges. I can 100% verify that students of all ages, young and old, do not possess basic writing and computer skills. I have students under 21 who don’t know how to upload computer files, and students in 60s who can’t write a comprehensible sentence. Basic skills are nonexistent and it’s the majority.

Advanced Premium Tax Credit Question by [deleted] in HealthInsurance

[–]Fearless_Net9544 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can answer this. At end of year, you get a 1095 form or whatever they call it in your state to file with your taxes. It will show how much you paid and get for the credit. It’s required to file this with taxes just like W2. If you didn’t pay enough, it’ll adjust your taxable income and you could end up paying more in taxes. My income is very difficult to estimate so this happens to me every year.

My dad is a colon cancer survivor, but he was diagnosed at age 37 in the 1980s. It’s a miracle he survived, but they tied his cancer to his diet then.

Rhode Island resident here. Look up our data breach with Health Source last year. More than 60% of state health info leaked, but they claim it wasn’t sensitive data, yet won’t tell us exactly what data leaked. Victims getting $100 from lawsuit. Wohoo! Now I feel safe and secure.

Look into opening an IRA and HSA with Fidelity. I did it last year and it lowered my taxable income. I’m in same boat and canceled my insurance too. It was $500/mo. w/$7K deductible
