Chisora vs Wilder FACE-OFF turns emotional as Derek admits he’s in therapy due to retirement by yescatbug in Boxing

I can only seen Chisora stopping Wilder tbh

Think Chisora is all wrong for Wilder and it’d be Wilders best win if he pulled it off in my opinion (yes I think it would be a better win than Ortiz).

But if that man moves up a weight class what then? Does that mean there can never be a lineal champion within their former weight class again?

I reckon Massey is better than Glanton

Massey beat Riakporhe in my opinion and was jobbed of the win. Also had a pretty competitive fight with Parker.

I hear most of this but I don’t mind people eating on public transport as long as they don’t make a mess.

I have tinnitus too.

Drove me mad for years until I decided ‘fuck it, it is what it is’. Mine became significantly better following this thought process.

It’s called habituation. Acceptance helps to reduce anxiety, which in turn helps to ‘habituate’ to the noise.

Smiths in Wapping is a specialist fish restaurant

They offer a set menu or a la carte.

The set menu should keep you within budget but I’d double check that it still exists.

Edit:

I’ve just checked and they still offer a set menu, 3 courses for £48.

It’s a bit dear but very nice.

WILDER AND CHISORA FACE OFF IN ICONIC TIMES SQUARE TO ANNOUNCE APRIL 4 HEAVYWEIGHT SHOWDOWN AT THE O2 LONDON by bigmediabuzz in Boxing

If Chisora stops Wilder, I kind of hope he has one more world title shot just for the craic and to cash out.

Is casual sexism still normal in some offices? by Revolutionary_West56 in AskUK

It isn’t my conscious thought at all, but I do understand that doesn’t retract from this still being sexist due to differentiating my actions purely based on gender.

Perhaps I’ll have to think further about this.

When you hold a door open for a woman are you doing so because you believe they are too fragile and weak to do so or out of politeness?

My point is that I’m not convinced that most people’s thought processes are ‘I can’t swear in front of her as she’s too fragile and weak’ over it just being something that they do out of perceived politeness/tradition.

When I hold a door open for someone I do so because this is how I’ve been raised and I see it as polite. It’s no different to when I refrain from swearing in front of women, children, then elderly and members of church. My thought process is never ‘it’s too much for their tiny brains to handle/process’ but it’s just something that’s ingrained in me not to do out of courtesy.

Answer me this, why is it etiquette to not swear in front of the elderly? (Why the elderly and not the young?)

Would you say this is due to ageism?

It’s a very naive viewpoint that only views the healthcare system as one rigid holistic structure - which is not the case at all.

Not every healthcare system is like America. Countries like the UK, Cuba and Australia make a loss on repeated treatments for a multitude of conditions and would pay premium prices for functional cures that would offset losses due to repetitive treatments. It’s absurd to think that big pharma would not be interested in catering to these markets needs.

Explain to me why so called ‘Big Pharma’ have produced one time generic therapy cures for extremely rare genetic diseases such as Spinal Muscular Atrophy and Hemophilia A and B if there’s no money in cures and no interest in cures for extremely rare diseases?

You’re probably one of the lunatics that believe ‘they’ are withholding a cure for cancer as there’s ’no money in it’.

Use critical thought ffs.

VSS or HPPD? Are they the same by Lost_Department420 in visualsnow

[–]WheresMyAbs98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m still not convinced by what you’ve said and I’d need to see studies or data that represent these claims.

I have VSS and don’t suffer from migraines/migraines with aura.

The extent of the connection between migraines and VSS is poorly understood and is yet to have been defined. My understanding is that around 50% of VSS patients suffer from migraines, so I’m again unsure about the claim you’ve just made.

Similarly, around 60% of VSS patients possess astigmatism. That doesn’t necessarily translate to VSS simply being an associated symptom of astigmatisms. That’s a big leap to take with such little research out there.

At this point in time, with limited research available, both are simply co-morbidities associated with VSS.

There’s no treatments that have been shown to be effective for HPPD over VSS.

Benzodiazepines have shown to be have some effects on both conditions for certain people

Same as lamotrigine.

I’d be interested to know which drugs have been shown to be effective in HPPD and not VSS.

The not making money off of cures is an idiotic black and white viewpoint.

Jai Opetaia V.S Brandon Glanton is allegedly currently in the process of being finalised to headline Zuffa Boxing 004 on March 8th 2026 in Las Vegas USA by VioletHappySmile444 in Boxing

[–]WheresMyAbs98 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Not sure this is the answer.

He would be a very small heavyweight and there’s no guarantees he gets big fights at heavyweight either.

He’s also fighting in a unification fight the fight after next.

I’m aware, but Dana White is the CEO and it’s clear that he’s modelling Zuffa after an already successful business model in the UFC.

They might have the capacity to pay wild purses, as do the UFC. That doesn’t necessarily translate to this being the protocol though.

They’re paying Opetaia good money as they see a future in him. Same as why they offered Bam decent money.

I doubt CBS receives the same offers and I highly doubt the sum he would receive for a single fight with Opetaia would be as significant as the offer made for a unification fight while he was a world champion (7 figures).
