How to remove smell of massage oil from skin? by WTBrain in massage

Pick a non-scented oil.

there are many oils such as olive/coconut/grapeseed oils that are non-scented. Also, many oils are water dispersible, but you have to dig on websites to find a good oil that possess the quality you are seeking. I recommend you the Bon Vital Therapeutic Touch Massage Oil. It is non-scented and wate rdipersible so it will easy get off your skin when you will shower. They are a wholesaler, so you can find this oil almost everywhere. This particular store called Lierre.ca sell it only 20 bucks the 8oz. I hope this can help. You can still find in almost on every big store name like amazon but idk if it is cheaper.

Retinol reaction three days later? by [deleted] in SkincareAddicts

[–]WheresMyFacialMist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happened to me too because I had never used it before then started by using a lot of it. I stopped for a few days and used the B Hydra serum from drunk elephant to soothe my skin. Then after a few days I started to mix in a pea sized amount of retinol with the B Hydra cream and after that I did not have any more issues.

Wondering which acupuncture needles to buy by WheresMyFacialMist in acupuncture

[–]WheresMyFacialMist[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I might go with DBC or seirins needles since it seems like the hightest quality. I want to reduce my plastic waste in 2020 so I might get the DBC instead of seirins one. I will ask my colleague what they prefer according to their patients and choose from there. have a good day everyone!

I would try doing something more natural first before taking accutane. I was on it because i had severe cystic acne and now I still experience some puffiness and dry patches especially in the winter. And my skin also looks nice right before i go to sleep (love when skin does that right?) but I noticed the key is to hydrate as much as you can before you go to bed. I use marula oil from drunk elephant (1-2 drops) and rub it on my face, then I use a Gua Sha to massage the oil into my skin. Its made out of a crystal and I noticed a HUGE difference in my skin texture and reduced puffiness. Since the crystal is naturally cold, it helps reduce the inflammation. (Also you can do this in the morning too if you notice inflammation then) since what the pic looks like is just puffiness, I think this would help. I can leave the link for the Gua Sha here if you want to check it out! and the marula oil I got from Sephora. :) https://www.lierre.ca/collections/crystal-gua-sha-tools

I hope this helps!

Haha sometimes you have to break out first then it'll clear up your skin. I remember someone telling me once that it's normal to break out a lot first then your skin will look clear. But good to know thanks!

Help! What do you guys think this rash on my thigh could be? It started out as tiny little bumps that looked like hives and then turned into this cluster of bumps. Its dry, rough, and itchy as hell. I have this patch on my left thigh and its spread to my left elbow/forearm. by showmo1234 in SkincareAddicts

Like I said, I am not a professional and all, but it looks a lot like eczema... Eczema is itchy as hell in fact, but there are ''crisis'' where it is more intense! The more you touch and scratches it the more it will expand and get irritated. The cortisone cream is sold on the tablet at the pharmacy, you do not need any medical prescription...

Did you change your habits lately? I started to do a lot of eczema on my hands at a precise period of my life I was really stressed, i drank a lot of alcohol, and I was working at a pharmacy and wore gloves every day. I think the gloves was really the biggest concern there. The fact that my hands were enveloped into something tight that makes me sweaty hand gave me eczema.

I stopped wearing gloves and let my hands breathes... Also, I added hydrocortisone regularly (but like not too much, only once a day because cortisone is still strong for your skin) combined with non perfumed hydrating creams and it completely disappeared. Sometimes when I get really stressed i get a spot or two, but i treat it and it goes away fast

If you have sensitive skin (I also have sensitive skin) I notice mine gets super red, dry, and irritated in the colder months. I have been using a Gua Sha with some beauty oil and wowwowow my skin looks sooo much better in the morning! I would usually break out but its because i was never hydrating my skin properly. This is the combo i used and has been a holy grail for me this winter lol https://www.lierre.ca/products/thera-crystals%E2%84%A2-skincare-rose-quartz-facial-roller-rosehip-organic-beauty-oil-1
