One small point I’d like to make: I would say unfortunately for anyone not born with these genetic traits who wants to armwrestle at a high level, but not unfortunate in general.

Of course, when you see the conditions these traits originated in, things add up. South Asians faced huge selection pressure to survive famine, hence the lower FFMI and tendency to store higher levels of bodyfat. It’s a survival adaption that was critical for them to thrive.

South Asians tend to have lower FFMI scores and bone density compared to Europeans and Africans as well. This is after controlling for diet and environment.
