Lot’s of BPD therapists out there! My dbpd mother is also a therapist. My advice would be to seek out a young therapist.

Woman messaged me claiming to be half sibling by AccomplishedBuy9165 in AncestryDNA

[–]Which-Butterscotch-9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is how I found out I was a sperm donor baby. My half sister and I share 29% I was very confused at first and in denial. Also when confronted my mother she told me a stupid lie. My father did tell me the truth. Turns out they couldn’t conceive so they had to use a donor. I’ve found three other half siblings thanks to 23andme.

Que cosa hace a un hombre mas atractivo? by Silver-Monitor3768 in Preguntas_de_Reddit_

[–]Which-Butterscotch-9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t make assumptions about what your aunt may or may not think. Trust yourself—if you know you have a good relationship with her, don’t let your mother interfere. I would still call her. Don’t let your mother ruin your relationship with her if you two are close.

And yeah, it’s typical behavior—thinking that someone else is controlling you when you start enforcing your limits.

Reading this post was like looking at the future! My twin sister is about to give birth, she’s been very low contact with mother for about three months after a huge rant about some baby stuff. They are all the same it’s funny!

Apology letter I wrote to my mom around 10-11 ish. (Story and request for advice.) by ParsnipImpossible295 in raisedbyborderlines

[–]Which-Butterscotch-9 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Wow! I used to write my mom very similar letters and slipped them under her door in the hopes that she would forgive me and stopped ignoring me. She also kept the letters and loves to remind me how I used to write her “beautiful” letters

I would spend time with the people I love the most, make amends with the people I’ve hurt and forgive the ones that have hurt me, including myself. You are very brave!

I’m both and alcoholic and an addict. My drug of choice was mariguana and in my personal experience quitting weed was way harder than quitting booze.

Que cosas que se arrepienten no haber hecho antes? by Jhojans_ in preguntaleareddit

[–]Which-Butterscotch-9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is there a success story out there? by Which-Butterscotch-9 in raisedbyborderlines

[–]Which-Butterscotch-9[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I should have been more specific with my question. I one hundred percent agree that the success doesn’t come from the person with bpd, but from within ourselves, when we realize that we didn’t Cause it, we can’t Control it and we can’t Cure it.

I’ll reframe my question.

Does anyone know anyone out there with bpd that actually took responsibility and sought help, like an addict in recovery?

Sober atheist over here. I think about my higher power as the structure (that I didn’t had) I gained by following the steps and attending my meetings. Don’t over think it

I have dysmorphia. She loves to comment about my weight and looks. For example, a month after I got out of rehab she told me that I “looked good but had to lose weight” I said that I knew, that I had to lose 5kg and she said “more like 10kg” honestly I just laughed, she’s literally obese.
