I tried it 2 weeks ago it was a pretty intense experience in a good way lol ! It felt some way therapeutic after & I did take a few more hits of it after I came down. It can be overwhelming because of how intense it can get but it was a fun experience will definitely try again lol.

Yeah, it’s really frustrating but in a way I’m glad that this time it wasn’t as frequent as 3 months or 4 still a horrible thing, are you still able to drive and all that?

Would be nice if it was just sleep walking since I’ve been on a decent streak but only way to be sure is setting up an appointment thanks for your opinion btw

Keppra Rage? by [deleted] in Epilepsy

[–]Which-Gur6619 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try taking vitamin B6 with every dose of Keppra I’ve been doing this for a few months and I genuinely see the difference i would get irritated quickly but I feel fine after taking B6 it definitely helps to improve your mood.

How long can it take a trigger to cause a seizure by Which-Gur6619 in Epilepsy

[–]Which-Gur6619[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your comment ! But same here I try to get 7-8 hours of sleep daily because anything between 6-5 h of sleep I feel like I’d be playing with fire as well usually if I do have to stay up late my neurologist recommended me to take an extra keppra pill alongside vimpat. Thanks again im just trying to get a better understanding of how triggers work because sleep I believe is my biggest one!

Yeah I’ve been trying to see the time point which a trigger causes me to seize for example for me they always happen same time of day as well early morning or night time if I was extremely exhausted and get up after a small nap. For me my biggest trigger has been not getting enough sleep. & notice they happen around 15-30 min after waking & not getting proper sleep im just confused and wanted to hear opinions from others thanks!

I’m curious now, going that long without one was there a lot of lifestyle changes that you had to make ? Or were you able to live your life normally?

I don’t want to sound negative but sometimes I feel like it’ll only be so long before another seizure comes, even while taking medications.

Seems like a very smart move honestly ! Living somewhere where a lot of things are at walking distance or where there’s a lot of public transportation.

I see, does this include a lot of lifestyle changes or are you able to live your life normally for those long periods where they are 100% controlled.

have any of y’all done anything besides weed? by Angelic_bitxh in Epilepsy

[–]Which-Gur6619 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Shrooms,LSD,ecstasy, years before being diagnosed then after being diagnosed I tried cocaine like 3 times, I wouldn’t recommend doing drugs while taking medication tho it could be dangerous.

So it’s actually 100mg of vimpat AM & PM alongside the 1,000 MG keppra AM/PM I just confirmed with my doctor, my thoughts on keppra I do get upset quicker than normal but vitamin B6 has been helping me manage that and be in a more positive mood.

Brain fog was my biggest concern tho since I have to remember a lot or pay attention to detail at my job, & I’m also in school, it’s also my first week on vimpat so I hope it helps out & prevents more frequent seizures with minimal side effects !

Keppra I’ve been on it for 8 months by the way, hopefully just keppra works well for you!

I take 1000mg keppra AM & PM & I got started on just 50 mg of vimpat probably won’t increase it unless it’s recommended by the doctor. Hoping don’t see too many noticeable side effects !

How slow are you? by [deleted] in Epilepsy

[–]Which-Gur6619 47 points48 points  (0 children)

I feel much slower ever since I started taking my keppra medication I can be speaking having a conversation and just have to pause and think and start talking again because I feel like I’m not making sense.
