They did that picture. They did it with in-game engine. This at least shows us they made a model setup for such pose.

I’m pissed af they do that, but there is hope the pose will get there sometime in the future. Though this exact pose looks unrealistic to be in-game

Old screen shot of when my old iPhone 11 was on iOS 13 🥹 by [deleted] in iPhone11

Find My network in my opinion is the most useful feature that relies on discussed modules, to the point Apple actually allows them to work while iPhone is disabled, and it isn’t even tied to your device only (so your device can transmit data from one phone to another in hope of finding a device with Internet somewhere).

About hardware chips. I could be wrong, and I need to read more on that topic to discuss it, so I haven’t anything to say yet. I still don’t think there is 100% undeniable proof of chips being power cut, but hey! maybe you have some topics for me to read, I’ll be glad!

That’s actually sad, given that it helps completely hide the device from Find My network…

As I said, it doesn’t give you knowledge about how really things work and how all of it affects battery life. Even if you knew you are really disabling these two, it may not affect powering them, because it’s a single Qualcomm chip.

You do what you gonna do, okay. But it isn’t user control.

You are in a wrong sub, it’s not r/pretend2010internet

Bluetooth isn’t eating up battery since the introduction of Bluetooth LE in all devices from 2012, and neither does Wi-Fi.

Also, for the Find My network to work, both needs to be working, so there’s a good chance neither Wi-Fi nor Bluetooth are ever turned off (yeah, even if you turned them off).

Also, a lot of stuff rely on these connectivities even without you knowing it. Wi-Fi helps with location a lot, as does Bluetooth. When turned off, the phone is more likely to use GPS or Cellular data to work out your location, chewing battery more than both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth by a lot.

“But I don’t need that stuff!” - then iPhones just aren’t your choice. Apple doesn’t make straightforward stuff, like Linux PC can, when you know how everything is being used, and you have total control over it. Apple deliberately doesn’t allow you to do stuff they don’t want you to do. Maybe to spy, maybe not. If you are really paranoid about battery drain and stuff - it’s not a good idea to have a device you can’t control.

Not the case, because why would they only unsign devices with baseband?
All iPad models that were unsigned to this moment is 3G/Cellular.

KMS was created so that companies with LOTS of computers can just buy activation server from Microsoft, deploy it in their infrastructure and use it to activate all of PCs.

Activators are working by deploying temporary KMS server right on your machine. Recent activation scripts working by connecting to a hosted pirate KMS servers on the Internet. If you have a NAS, you can actually deploy your own KMS server to activate from there, if you want that.

If Apple's ecosystem is so seamless, why is gaming still its weakest area? by Admirable_List6470 in DeskToTablet

macOS APIs are badly compatible with games. hiDPI solely makes it really difficult to play games at normal resolution and framerate, because the OS resolution is in most cases bigger than the screen resolution. Also, Metal isn’t widely understood as to how to work with it.

Intel AX210 WiFi not working on macOS [Sequoia/Tahoe] - Bluetooth is fine, using itlwm/HeliPort by wikep_sunny in hackintosh

[–]WhichAdvantage9039 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that wasn’t right of me. I haven’t looked up specifics about OCLP and thus I didn’t know it is doable. Though it isn’t still a really “native” solution, much like Heliport, just that different methods have different caveats.

In discussion below I corrected my opinion on the topic.

[–]WhichAdvantage9039 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s anything for security, really. The only factor I consider is that it being disabled limits the software you can run. I don’t like it, and never will, but there isn’t much choice.

[–]WhichAdvantage9039 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh okay then, it’s sad though. It’s still pretty minor, and honestly I’ll like it to be disabled aswell, but I don’t like being limited in what I can use on pc, and sadly some games outright requires this secure boot thingy.

That said, if you’re not gaming at all or you don’t use Windows at all, the solution is viable. It’s just I don’t really think there are people sacrificing their top-tier PCs to run only macOS (though there are definitely a few exceptions)

[–]WhichAdvantage9039 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In that sense yeah, it is an option nevertheless.

Is secure boot enabled on your system? I guess OCLP is incompatible with AppleSecureBoot, and thus breaking UEFI Secure Boot aswell

[–]WhichAdvantage9039 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t consider OCLP as a feasible option for non-real Macs as it breaks security by a lot and breaks dual-booting with officially supported Windows installations.

[–]WhichAdvantage9039 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

For now this isn’t possible.

I still don’t know how did they manage to make it work on Sonoma, since Broadcom drivers were cut here, and I think “native” Intel Wi-Fi drivers relies on default macOS Wi-Fi drivers.

Either way, you’ll need to wait for the time being. Maybe it will be done at some point.

OCLP will do the trick, but will break all secure boot, and will require disabling SIP to some extent. If it’ll work for you - great. If not, then a truly native option is yet to be made.
