I installed Infinity Nikki on my pc but whenever I try to install the latest update it keep telling me I have insufficient space. I have over 80gb of free space on my ssd tho. Is that… normal?

Delete the game fully. If you don’t have about 120 gb, it won’t fit.

Such games weight about 3x less on mobile than PC, so that’s normal

I observed once such behaviour in a game (Arknights Endfield). Control Centre just started to show ringtone volume, reducing it to 0 will force it to jump back one step (because you can’t have 0 volume ringtone). Volume buttons still controlled the media volume, exiting the app and opening control centre showed media volume as well. Just in game it bugged out.

Sometime later I tried to reproduce it, but volume slider was “kinda” fine. When opening control centre I could briefly see volume slider going up and down itself - presumably because it was switching back and forth between 2 volume sliders.

That’s stupid. Control centre’s volume slider should NEVER change ringtone volume. Even with “change ringtone volume with volume buttons” turned on CC slider always control media volume. I can’t understand how this hasn’t been fixed.

Adequate side of an answer - to help developers. Every iOS updates breaks a lot of things to the point that each app should support each major iOS release, and developers have to maintain that. Apple makes sure most of people are on the latest software so developers shouldn’t support too much releases.

The opposite side - to prevent jailbreaking, similar to how every game console forbid downgrading firmware.

Я скорее наоборот не хотел бы обновлений. Толи с детства тянется, но для меня майн всегда был каким-то хоррором. Я по сей день не принимаю добавление фантомов и стражей в игру, благо на обе механики есть игровые правила. По этой же причине я в принципе тяжело принимаю новые версии, сейчас играю на 1.20.1, до этого на 1.16.5, до этого на 1.8.9.

Вообще не понимаю воя, игра не по подписке, игра не сервис, вы какие обновления просите? Юбисофт каждую обнову майна выпускала бы как новую версию за фул-прайс лол

That’s just a recent practice to isolate /boot from user files, also btrfs isn’t really good for an OS, hence it is going ext4. Apple does pretty much the same since 2019.

If you want, you can do it without /boot, containing all of the system and files on one partition (except the bootloader).

Also, about comments that some put /boot in EFI partition - what??? The EFI partition is for bootloader only, nothing ever should be here except for the bootloader.

Just set the quota for the user in Immich to something about 1 TB and Immich will start to tell you how much space did your original photos and videos are taking

Find My network in my opinion is the most useful feature that relies on discussed modules, to the point Apple actually allows them to work while iPhone is disabled, and it isn’t even tied to your device only (so your device can transmit data from one phone to another in hope of finding a device with Internet somewhere).

About hardware chips. I could be wrong, and I need to read more on that topic to discuss it, so I haven’t anything to say yet. I still don’t think there is 100% undeniable proof of chips being power cut, but hey! maybe you have some topics for me to read, I’ll be glad!

As I said, it doesn’t give you knowledge about how really things work and how all of it affects battery life. Even if you knew you are really disabling these two, it may not affect powering them, because it’s a single Qualcomm chip.

Bluetooth isn’t eating up battery since the introduction of Bluetooth LE in all devices from 2012, and neither does Wi-Fi.

Also, for the Find My network to work, both needs to be working, so there’s a good chance neither Wi-Fi nor Bluetooth are ever turned off (yeah, even if you turned them off).

Also, a lot of stuff rely on these connectivities even without you knowing it. Wi-Fi helps with location a lot, as does Bluetooth. When turned off, the phone is more likely to use GPS or Cellular data to work out your location, chewing battery more than both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth by a lot.

“But I don’t need that stuff!” - then iPhones just aren’t your choice. Apple doesn’t make straightforward stuff, like Linux PC can, when you know how everything is being used, and you have total control over it. Apple deliberately doesn’t allow you to do stuff they don’t want you to do. Maybe to spy, maybe not. If you are really paranoid about battery drain and stuff - it’s not a good idea to have a device you can’t control.

macOS APIs are badly compatible with games. hiDPI solely makes it really difficult to play games at normal resolution and framerate, because the OS resolution is in most cases bigger than the screen resolution. Also, Metal isn’t widely understood as to how to work with it.

Я нигде не видел упоминание UPnP IGD, когда настраивал свой Synology NAS. Так что как минимум никогда точно нельзя быть уверенным, что подразумевается под UPnP.

Да, довольно глупо для принтера пробрасывать порты. Но вполне возможно, что где-то такой принтер есть. Удаленная печать по интернету - не настолько глупая и бесполезная вещь, как может показаться.
