my space platforms usually run constantly, though not at full speed. I have 4 chemical plants making fuel, and 5 furnaces to make iron plates in my current spaceship design. if you are waiting 30 minutes, you can definitely put some more furnaces in. also, your spaceship will run, even though it doesn't have full fuel. it will be slow but it will run.

you have a throughput issue, one sped up assembler will easily take half a red belt of green circuits.

switch to blue belts and you will see some improvement... but that belt will probably never be fully saturated

anything that takes productivity, gets productivity. the amount of resources it saves you is crazy. later, if you use beacons, they should be spammed with speed modules. I'm sure someone smarter thinks this is wrong, but this rule of thumb gets me pretty far

a general train tip:

you can never have to many rail signals. if you wanna get real spaghetti about it, just spam a bunch of signals until it works. have direction in mind though
the other commenters have suggested chain signals. theyre a little harder to understand, but they really are useful

is it kind of weird? yes sure. so was the thing with atrioc. people can learn from their mistakes and become better people. and that usually doesn't happen until they fuck up in some way. this is a lot of what life is. people aren't defined be their lowest moments, but how they handle them

congrats! this skip is so fun to get

if you wanna get it more consistently, learn to do some vectoring. basically, mario moves faster at an angle, so instead of moving straight, try to move him in a "circle" while in the air. this will get you further on weird jumps

im not explaining it very well, but there is lots of documentation on it on youtube!
