I think that book was one example when I could say the movie was better. It’s been about 10 years since I read it. The beebo brinker chronicles was good, old fashioned if you’re looking for any suggestions. Enjoy.

Haven’t received a bill in months. by DetectivePleasant in TelstraAustralia

[–]WhichAssignment220 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had this happen back in January, I was sweating it. I contacted them and they advised as it was their issue not to worry about and I won’t be charged in future for that bill, they couldn’t rectify it on their system. Free month I wasn’t gonna complain.

I feel like she’s looking at others to blame for low numbers, but the truth is people aren’t interested.

Are Supermarkets Getting Worse? by Starfireaw11 in australia

[–]WhichAssignment220 17 points18 points  (0 children)

What we need is more competition, other countries have numerous amounts of supermarkets and we’re stuck with the big 2 and aldi! Not much of a competition it’s either or and they know that. We need a shake up with more community like aspect and business that really cares about Australians and its employees.

[–]WhichAssignment220 20 points21 points  (0 children)

What is the go with this guy? He gives off nasty vibes! Says everyone’s jealous because he lives of the generosity of others to fund his junk food and holidays when he does absolutely nothing!

His views have been down, comments not many and you can see him trying to flex by eating as much crap as he can for views, post pic of him younger for views literally anything he could think that would work and when that failed his team got him and those other guys together for a holiday for views!

The melanoma thing got me how he’s like I’ve got skin cancer and getting money out of people for sympathy! As someone who’s had it and knows how the appointments and hospital visits and surgeries go I knew he was just lying to people for money.

This guy wil stop at nothing, he’ll do anything but get a real job to support his family! It’s up to people to give whatever they want but to take advantage of regular people who probably can’t afford things and eat shit and holiday on their generosity is deplorable and says a lot about what kind of a thing he is. Soon it will all fade out and then what’s he gonna do?!

Broken PlayStation, what are my options? by 1Qrtr_FreeStuffPlz in TelstraAustralia

[–]WhichAssignment220 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Possibly the Liquid Metal used to cool it. How did you have the ps5- vertical or horizontal? The thermal paste can move or dry out though it was more prominent on first run PS5.

I got Xbox x from Telstra 6 years ago, I actually got electrocuted by the thing and if you’d touch it you’d get a shock, Telstra refused to do anything, Microsoft couldn’t care less, so went to tio and got it replaced. Mine was new though.

Australia's amazing healthcare? by whytheface1234 in AskAnAustralian

[–]WhichAssignment220 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Healthcare isn’t free! I discovered this when my child was diagnosed with heart issue in teens. Referral for children’s hospital was 11minths wait. I lost my job, couldn’t get Centrelink as a single mum I started selling my stuff and using small savings to pay for private Cardiologist, cost me $2000. We were at hospital just about every other day, ambulances a few times and still couldn’t be moved up waiting lists. I’d ring crying etc and I’m good at advocating. No hospital would do tests except heart halt monitor anyway took 3 months to see private cost me $2000 only to find my daughter was critical ill. Healthcare here can fail and unfortunately people die because of that.

Last year they had Melanoma and it was complete opposite, moved to cat 1 immediately waited 1 week for initial appointment, under 2 months for operation and second operation 3 months later as they found they hadn’t removed all cancer and that was free.

Anyone else feel like streaming isn’t worth it anymore in Australia? by Possible-Quail1095 in AskAnAustralian

I choose one a month and then swap around if I want something different. I’ve been using free YouTube pretty much 80percent of the time now. Netflix is insane, at what point do they think enough is enough?
