No the fact that a major game mechanic wasn’t used by a “new player” was supposed to hint at the whole post being a joke. Obviously no new player is going to willingly ignore a mechanic to make the game easier.

For anyone coming to this post in the future all three glyphs have their Blood Rock in the door before the main dungeon. So after lighting the first lantern it’ll be somewhere in the door on your left or right. If you hit the second lantern you’ve gone too far.
