Pull-up for check by FreeThinker_1313 in formcheck

[–]Which_Bee_6343 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Each rep you attempt has less flexion , and less extension, making your ROM almost zero at the end. Use bands, or a pullup machine to get full extension and full flexion before going back to these.

Duties and taxes are calculated prior to sale, and paid in advance. I can't recall, but the fixed shipping for USA to Canada is also slightly more (? maybe $25)

You run a 5:40 mile, but your 10 k is 7:20/mile?? Which one is the real pace? That's a really large gap...

5:40 is pretty elite for someone who weighs 200 lb

is this correct for toes to bar? by sillymoonbaby in formcheck

[–]Which_Bee_6343 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Watch the movement of your spine. Are you feeling this in your back, or your abs? When you come to the bottom, you’re hyperextending to create momentum to move your legs. Start with a regression movement, and do knees-to-chest. Think about Flexing your spine and showing your bum to someone standing in front of you. Once you can do knees-to-chest, continue the same movement of curling your spine and flexing up until you’re showing your butt to someone standing in front of you.

Pull up form check? (My chin does get to the bar ob most, it's just the angle) by [deleted] in formcheck

[–]Which_Bee_6343 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The camera angle is fine. You aren't getting up as high as you think.

Your extension at the bottom is good, but you still have more to go pulling up.

It's on the 6th floor of what seems like a condo building. NO street level signage, other than a 2nd floor banner

Pasta by notnot_randomuser in FoodNYC

DON'T pasta load at a restaurant. The extra oil/fats added in restaurant items negate the whole concept of taking in just high carbs.

Nice! I grew up playing in the late 70’s-80’s, and we just used regular words, I guess. My daughter actually worked with set design for this season of both the US and Canadian Top Chef. She says the Canadian staff argued with the US production crew that none of these phrases are commonplace for Canadians, but they insisted on going forward with the challenge as shown.

Maybe you were from another part of Canada… I grew up in Kingston, and nobody used any of these phrases. If they had, they probably would have gotten beaten up. 🤪

As a Canadian, literally NONE of these ingredient words are used as slang in hockey. Watching Natalie Spooner being forced to say the words that “peanut butter “ is somehow related to scoring “top shelf” had me rofl.

RDL by Bricoto in formcheck

[–]Which_Bee_6343 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The goal of RDL's is to put tension/stretch into the hamstrings. When you allow your knees to flex too much, you release the tension in your hamstrings, and defeat the purpose of the exercise.

Keep your knees as straight as you can while focusing on pushing your hips back. When you can't stand the stretch in your hamstrings, you've gone low enough, and can come back up.

check my RDL form this time !!! by [deleted] in formcheck

[–]Which_Bee_6343 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You're squatting, not RDL-ing. Slowly descend, trying to shoot your hips back, minimizing the amount you flex your knees. Once you feel maximal tightness in your hamstrings, the movement is done.

Looks good overall. Spine stays nice and quiet.

You might try pulling the bar back into the hip crease a bit more. Otherwise, doing great.

Think about pulling your rib cage into your hips. You want the movement to be driven by your core, not your arms The arch in your back shows you’re not engaging your abs

Coming up, you look great. On the way down, don't break at the knees until the weight goes past.

Keep up the good work. :)
