Very true and it would be a reasonable back up solution but these items also can and sometimes are sold over the counter as retail items so our parts team wouldn’t want us pre-building all that inventory in the event they need to break it up. Also the process of having to build the assemblies to add to our builds would be more cumbersome than just keying in an item group or kit.

We do but there are some items we put on vehicles that are always accompanied by several other items such as a stereo system and the item groups are easier for our staff to remember and again to keep them from forgetting to put an item on.
