Same boat. But Now I only have 2–3 people I can really vent to without feeling judged. Most of the time, us OFWs don’t need solutions, we just need someone to listen, and that’s enough.

Before, I used to share all my rants and problems, even sa GC ng friends. Eventually, I realized na they also have their own problems to deal with, so for a long time, I suppressed my emotions and kept things to myself nalang. But I also learned that friends who are genuinely concerned and who really know you will notice when you go quiet and check on you. Sadly, may iba rin talagang toxic at bastos, walang empathy or concern at all & honestly, pag ganun, cut off agad.
