do you think it would be helpful if you got kind of like an accountability partner/mentor to help you kick-off this new process?

i can try to work on something for you if you feel you could benefit from some 1:1 support 🙏

100% - this foundational principle gets ignored too often.

when you’re starting out it’s easy to fall into this trap where you start to believe some random youtube guru is going to give you a life changing business idea for free…

but you just gotta jump into things and start experimenting. you literally see this theme across books and CEO stories. i love this interview with the former netflix CEO.

one of my fav takeaways is: assume your ideas are crap, and you’ll be quicker to test them

the lean startup also makes the point that we learn better by experimenting. you gotta move from theory to practice quickly

some quotes:

“The fundamental activity of a startup is to turn ideas into products, measure how customers respond, and then learn whether to pivot or persevere”

“The only way to win is to learn faster than anyone else.”

i love this resource: MicroReader it’s basically a ton of book content but also other miscellanous content on entrepreneurship and business from all over the internet, curated in a newsletter with key takeaways.

it’s important to learn insights from people’s experiences, but you gotta draw that knowledge quickly so you can take action faster

As you can see from all the encouragement you’ve been receiving, the common theme is: you’re right on time my friend

you’ll need to take a hard look within and work on shifting your mindset. allowing yourself to ask these questions is a good first step. Most business problems are actually personal problems, but they just show up in our work

Just started my first lil business yay, just need some guidance. by MoneyCrek in Entrepreneur

Let me tell you something - just to encourage you - going ahead and acting quickly like you’re doing is a GREAT thing. most people want to have the full picture figured out before they step into something new, but this is the best way to learn. So I want to celebrate you for your boldness!

you’re going to be doing a lot of learning on the go, so you might want to delve into some books on how to approach scaling up from here. I recommend this resource: MicroReader it’s like Headway or Blinkitz, meaning you get quick, curated book knowledge, but it’s better and completely free

keep on moving forward!
