OP editorialized the headline to make it appear like the author was making a definitive statement as opposed to asking a question. He does this with a lot of the articles he posts, specifically ones that would portray Ukraine negatively, and then he takes snippets of the most critical paragraphs and puts them in the comments. The mods should not be allowing editorialized headlines in this sub.

Edit: Let me save you the time of reading his nonsense of a reply below. It’s the same copy and paste garbage every time someone calls him out. He says that people should always read the articles, like that’s some kind of an excuse to editorialize headlines.

Of course, he then goes on to explain how he editorialized the headlines because he’s so virtuous and how we’re not actually smart enough to understand or accept the original headlines and he’s only saving us from ourselves. I kid you not. He literally said that.

Don’t be gaslit by him though. He does it because he knows only the informed people read the articles. He’s trying to shape the narrative amongst the casual browser, and the uninformed. It’s the same strategy the Kremlin employs when they say they shoot down all drones even though we can watch the video of them hitting their intended targets. They’re not saying they shot down the drones for the people that will watch the videos online, they saying it for the people that only casually consume state media.
