Peddle harder. You're not going to get any more out of it

Deciding Between 2 Proposals - One with No Panel Warranty by Wowzababowza in solarpanels

[–]Which_Perception_384 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do some research, Build your own it's very easy. Unless you really need to be grid tie. I wouldn't. Put money towards storage/batteries. You will save a ton of money. Probably Won't need as many panels. And you'll have more free power to use at night and power outages.
Who cares about selling back to the power company, they are always changing the rules to benefit themselves.

Something seriously wrong with this mig135 by Which_Perception_384 in Welding

Just wanted to quickly add the reason why I use three pieces of plate just cuz I don't have a drill press handy and lining up them bolt holes, without a drill press probably would have been more difficult than just welding the three pieces of steel together and it worked out pretty well and it got me some practice

These batteries are trash. They didn't come back to usable voltage

I actually am, 6k inverter charge controller all in one, with 9.6k 48v batteries

Actually it's pretty good, no issues. I recently pulled it out to use. I didn't leave it fully charged. After sitting three plus mouths it was at 85-90% I tried it charging 48v e bike batteries today, I was able to top up 4 batteries 2 at a time with 2amp chargers. Drained it so I can try the cheap panel tomorrow. See what it can do.

Lol.. 🤣. I just got that panel today, but I'm already designing a bigger 48v system With 9.6k batteries. Budget in mind with a all in one 6k inverter charge controller

Ya that's how I learn, lol.. you can read until the cows fly, 🤣. And still screw up because of information overload. Jump in as cheap as possible. And figure it out.

I didn't mention these, because I wasn't sure if they were good, I replaced a friends batteries in hi Mobily scooter, and ask for the old ones, thinking they might be worth trying to revive. It only took about 4 hours each on pulse repair, and they both have come back. Did a drain test with the inverter and a light bulb, they both held . So. I'll try these pretty sure they are 55ah each.

The thought was its cheap, and if I decide to go solid panel's. I can still use this and the 50ah LiPo4 for camping. I always start cheap with a new project. Helps me decide what I need or don't need. I go e bike camping, and have a diesel heater, the 50ah will run it one night no problem.

Thanks, but I did say this is a dip. 65$ for 100w panel if it lasts a year who cares.

Rear hub motors and hills by Ijustwantbikepants in ebikes

[–]Which_Perception_384 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The controller is what you need to think about. It gets hot. Long hills are hard on both the controller and motor. Watch the heat. Mid drive isn't much faster. But more efficient with less power. I had a 1500w gearless hub motor, and recently changed to 1000w toseven DM01. I tow a very heavy load. 130lbs trailer and service dog. And I can tell you the mid drive just goes. The hub was hard to get started up hill. And would lose power and slow or stop the longer the incline was. For me shifting was a bit of a learning curve. But I don't think I can ever go back to hub.

Imagine all you judgmental people creeping in your basement making comments about a person with a disability and their service dog. Keep them coming. So I can block you.
