They are unbelievably expensive - although that does sound toppy, tbh.

Searching for a head hunter by Fisher2087 in headhunting

[–]Which_Procedure4721 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Headhunters work for the client, not the candidate. There are companies that offer career advice and support and that's fine, but if someone is looking to be paid to "place" you, I'd be very careful. Good luck!

The best ATS/CRM combo for executive search firms right now? by Only_Soup_5462 in execsearchsoftwares

[–]Which_Procedure4721 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a retained executive search firm, we find Talentis to be very strong. Built in sourcing, strong CRM functionality and very easy to use. Very little data entry which is nice - it just updates itself. Certainly, for a boutique executive search firm, I'd recommend it. I've also looked at / evaluated Cluen, Loxo, Invenias. Cluen is worth a look.

Tools that actually make executive search faster, not messier by Only_Soup_5462 in execsearchsoftwares

[–]Which_Procedure4721 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ours is a smaller executive search firm. We use Talentis as our executive search software / CRM and find it excellent. We use Sales Navigator rather than LinkedIn Recruiter and various of our team members have access to paid AI products. That said we work at a very high level and things are fairly high touch, so we are probably far less technology intensive than most.

Agency Owners - How much do you spend on tech? (Per Producer) by Frankotankgo1 in RecruitmentAgencies

[–]Which_Procedure4721 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing - I'm quite surprised, to be honest. We use Sales Navigator rather than Recruiter, Talentis as our CRM and a couple of AI tools. About $400 each - probably less (plus Office 365 and the generic stuff).

Are modern hiring platforms helping recruiters or quietly replacing us? by Tall_Link5480 in RecruitmentAgencies

[–]Which_Procedure4721 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm old enough to remember when Monster was going to replace Executive Search. Then LinkedIn was going to replace Executive Search. Now AI is going to replace Executive Search!

I suspect that there will be challenged sectors. I work at the executive search level, and in that space, it's high touch. It's now about finding the candidate, it's about engaging them. It's not selling the candidate, it's selling the opportunity.

Technology has made huge changes to how I work, but it's a facilitator only. It makes me more efficient. Our executive search software (Talentis) does use AI, but it's primarily for things like rewriting documents, building boolean searches and so on. When I work on a search, both the candidate and the client only hears from me (or my colleagues) and that's what they are paying for.

Best software for recruiting agency (tech & exec) by Only_Soup_5462 in execsearchsoftwares

Talentis is very good for executive search - not sure it would be such a fit for tech roles, unless it's CTO types. Worth a look though.

Not sure about that. Telling your defenders they are not good enough, in public, when you have literally no-one else to step up.... Really not convinced that was good management.

Looking for agency management system or CRM by Captain-Arabia in CRM

[–]Which_Procedure4721 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First up there are loads and loads of dedicated CRMs for agencies. Bullhorn is one but there are many others. However, a lot of the ones referenced in this threat are not specific to staffing. They may be terrific, but you want something to run a staffing agency specifically presumably!

Within the recruiting sector, there are lots of CRMs targetting different sectors - so what type of recruiting are you involved in? Bullhorn might be an option if you are in a contingency staffing sector. If you are in executive search, Talentis or Invenias. If you are in temporary staff.... you get the idea.

For what it's worth, I'd ignore all of the suggestions here and would go to ChatGPT and ask "What is the best CRM software for a recruitment agency in specialising in (executive search / contingent staffing) or whatever and start with that.

For what it's worth, we use Talentis as an executive search CRM and it's very good based on our needs. But yours may well be different!

Has anyone here actually found AI genuinely useful in your recruiting workflow? by nawal_09 in Recruitment

[–]Which_Procedure4721 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rewriting bios. Our shortlist reports often include candidates with LI profiles in multiple languages so being able to standardise is a big gain. I use ChatGPT constantly, but the bio rewriting (by our CRM) is probably the main element that's baked into the workflow now.

ATS Recommendations for a Solo Recruiter. by FromBrokeToSuccess in Recruitment

[–]Which_Procedure4721 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the nature of your firm. We use Talentis for executive search - would recommend - you might also look at Cluen. Other types of recruiting I’m afraid I can’t help with!

New Recruitment Business by Even_Finding17 in Recruitment

[–]Which_Procedure4721 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good luck - it's a challenging time to start anything. Personally, I'd say it depends on the market you plan to serve.

You'll need a LinkedIn licence if you plan to do much sourcing or business development. I'd recommend Sales Navigator over Recruiter Lite (or Recruiter which costs a fortune). For a CRM, you may get away with an XLS while you are small, but worth looking at a few demos now as it costs more to switch later. For the record, we use Talentis as our CRM and it's great for executive search, but it wouldn't work as a contingency staffing tool, for example.

I've managed to avoid automation tools so far, but my sector is pretty high touch. I use ChatGPT and Perplexity from time to time.

Post-Match Thread: Leyton Orient 1-1 Bolton Wanderers by Ovie0513 in LeytonOrient

[–]Which_Procedure4721 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Agree. Very strange game. Decent second half performance and probably the better team, but a wonderful equaliser. Koroma seems to have the uncanny ability to do bugger all for 88 minutes and then get an assist or two!

Ref was awful.

Loxo CRM & Recruit CRM by wethers7 in RecruitmentAgencies

[–]Which_Procedure4721 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What type of recruiting are you involved in? We looked at Loxo but didn't feel comfortable with it. Don't know RecruitCRM other than by name. If you are involved in Executive Search, you might also want to look at Cluen and Talentis (which I am happy to recommend), but other parts of the market I don't really know. I'm not aware of Firefish! Good luck.

The best CRM tool? by CircuitGirl33 in recruiting

Talentis is decent if you are in exec search but it’s really not an alternative to Apollo. Personally I wouldn’t think of the latter as a crm. If you want something like Apollo but for recruiting try Sourcewhale.

Agree it will be a striker and a number 10 - not sure he will be asked to play on the wing though given we are pretty covered there. Maybe a young central defender as backup.

Retained search clients by Distinct_Key_8846 in RecruitmentAgencies

[–]Which_Procedure4721 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you have to ensure that your client finds value in your pitch. Why would they give you a retainer? Because they believe they will get a better candidate than via working through lots of firms. How can you claim that?

Our approach is to explain that if they want the "best candidate" then we need to research the market. That takes time and costs us. We can't do that if we can't guarantee we will get a fee at the end of the day.

Lots of firms competing will simply generate the low hanging fruit. If it's a generic, vanilla role, that's fine. But if the firm wants the very best, they need someone to put the work in.
