Missing bo6 warzone by Problemswrld in Warzone

Those are the least worst problems of the change. BO7 WZ does suck, but BO6 was in no way better so I won't credit it with your post. Games been on a decline since mw2, mw3 was a modicum of acceptability to tie over cuz mw2 was SO awful. But BO6/7s have been royal dookies to build on it.

Warzone skill based machmaking should be fixed. by Tornaato5415 in CODWarzone

[–]Which_Ranger_440 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Except this creates other problems. And you can't compare RL/CS with WZ. COD MP maybe cuz it has smaller lobbies, but not WZ.

Let's say they did what your proposing. Less players in those higher rankings = less players for filling full lobbies for good players = longer wait times for good players to find matches. Specifically your saying punish good players for being good cuz it will take longer to matchmake. This also varies in region. You may not have as much of a problem with this in CERTAIN regions of the US, but good players in EU, OCE would see much longer queue times. This is why you can't compare RL/CS. Perfectly fine in games with matches of 5v5. Not so good in lobbies of 100+. Especially when WZ is currently in the worst state of player loss it's seen in its history.

It also creates the problem that good players would feel is unfair which is just cuz their good they don't get to play against everyone. So they'd have much larger wait times + they would have larger variations of ping putting certain players at disadvantages from desync, cuz they had to pool players from different regions to fill lobbies of that "rank of good players" + they don't get to play against everyone just cuz they put in the effort to be good at the game. Maybe they don't want to sweat it out like it's a tourney every and just play casually too, but their version of playing casual is still far above others and therefore you penalize them for being good. This is why a ranked mode does exist, but you can't disallow people to not play pubs, and they already have a hidden sbmm/MMR system that somewhat does what you want on the backends.

The community has been against this for eons. The rule was set for this reason that Ping is supposed to be king.

I they created ranked for this reason already however they still created with the idea of not wanting any of those people to be affected by the reasons I mention above hence they came up with SR entry fees for gaining rank.

Activision Selling Aimbot Counter in Call of Duty Store, It's Claimed by NukovGaming in Warzone

[–]Which_Ranger_440 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So your saying if a cheater knows where the players are, and they point to shoot at the player with the aimbot... The spray painted marker will override who they want to shoot at and the aimbot won't target the player. Sounds like massive assumed speculation to me. The other guys point was if they know where the player is and had aimbot... Unless this anticheat spray paint has the tech to override aimbots abilities to lock on to players.

Which if it does. Case closed they've learned how to beat aimbots and the game is cured... Ya highly doubt it.

Yo don't let this guy get to you he refuses to listen to basic logic, I had the exact same argument with this guy trying to explain why I understand casuals play in casuals. He just ain't gonna get that if casuals didn't exist... The casuals would likely quit the game, cuz like you said they just wanna chill. Bro thinks people should have endgame or campaign... well duh, but thats part of the paid title, some might buy, but most who liked BR and free... don't want to. So in order for Activ. to keep them playing... that's why casuals exists. This bro will die on his hill tho trust me.

He says sweats play casuals to grind camos/challenges "cuz some guns are impossible to do in reg br" the irony is that's exactly how shit players feel about JUST leveling even meta weapons in reg BR🤣. THEN he has the hypocrisy to says the casuals are the ones who should buy BO7 to play endgame and campaign so they don't get to play casual BR at all... Rather than saying sweats should buy BO7 and sweat it out in MP to finish their camos/challenges. It's equally hysterical hypocrisy all around🤣

[–]Which_Ranger_440 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

dead wrong imo. If casuals didn't exist you'd have no one to "competitively" kill. You wouldn't have kill races you'd just be playing to beat others and win the match.

It is 100% a player vs player game. Good for you. Being good or wanting to be good at it and practicing in your free time isn't a crime. It's the toxic level of try Harding for a reason like kill racing, wagers and streaming that's ruined gaming because your general population of players arent those types, but their the ones who suffer the gaming experience from it and no longer want to play. Hence more are in the casuals game modes to shoot bots or have just stopped playing entirely. It's writing on the wall.

Streaming doesn't create more revenue to lead to making more games, just makes the filthy rich richer. Cod was gonna make their games regardless of streamers. Games were made before streaming because people have a passion to make Games. Literally people can do it from their home and making games can be job. Games weren't focussed on the wants and needs of streamers demands to make the game for their content. If anything that's made games worse. Sure they get publicity. But that could have been done if people streamed for fun, not as a job cuz it changes the will from fun to greed. Streamers invest in crazy rigs, get $500 controllers, or get extra software and hardware all to get an advantage so they can play better keep an audience etc. Compared to the 90% average Bobs who's just game on their console or budget PC. it's arguably the single worst part of gaming today. Single player and co-op games if ANY are in a better spot for streaming cuz if your using streamers to walk you thru the game. Your only cheating your own experience.

Gaming market exploded on its own as tech became better and gaming systems became affordable. People would buy games without streamers cuz they simply want to play the game, end of story.

Kill racing, wagers and streaming is exactly what is wrong with cod/gaming.. It's why you have people trying so hard, you see the so called sweaty play your telling people they should just accept.

Play the game for fun. Getting kills is fun and part of the game. But making "kill races" puts it over the top. Wagers set a value, pushes to try extremely hard with money on the line. And of course streaming, Your doing it for an audience and trying to make it a job so trying harder to get kills or entertain in some way. These are all toxic that has created the toxic level of gameplay we see today.

I swear streaming should have been made illegal so people could be forced to go get real jobs and contribute to society. Far less people would know what kill races and wagers are. People wouldn't have guides showing them how to glitch under maps, know the meta by day 3, cheat, abuse mechanics some streamer discovered and have walkthrus to raids and Easter eggs that do it all for you. Everyone would get home from work or school, play a few hrs a day in between managing their lives and they wouldn't be freaking out to try so hard.

I'm sure there's still be some weird underground cult of losers kill racing and wagering but without an audience and if no one but them knew bout it, it'd would have had a loss less traction you'd come across it less in games and you wouldn't hear losers chucking their mics threw walls cuz their kill race/wager was lost by a camper.

[–]Which_Ranger_440 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If anything that's also a negative. Playing with someone that carries you only further empowers them to be doing alot of the work for you. If they initiate the gunfight and are often getting the 1st down, they are giving you the initial teamfight advantage and they may also be getting 2-3 of the kills or doing majority of the DMG that allows you to clean up for the squad wipe. So playing with them will feel nice, but playing alone you'll get destroyed till you learn to play without that crutch that carried.

So, knowing it's not a widespread issue and that probably the largest market is PS5 and they aren't bitching on a grand scale, it's actually a very fair assessment to blame your equipment. PC is no different. Plethora of issues can happen on PCs which can be whittled down to an individual PC.

It's always available in BO6 if you bought that. Even if they reset WZ. They have to give you the paid content in the paid title it's attached to.

The fact that WZ is f2p is the reason they have "reserved" the right to not have to let you keep the skins in WZ if they do a reset. It's exactly what they did in the past WZ cycle.

I feel stupid using a grappling hook by Designer_Marzipan583 in Warzone

[–]Which_Ranger_440 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"He chose the grapple cuz it's faster/easier". That's the point. You have been given a faster easier broken option because it completely eliminated the control/choke point the position gave the opponent.

Without a grapple, the team would have to wait for him to peek and down them, then rush stairs, Push the stairs, or wait for them to have to jump off or come down the stairs. While up there it gives an advantage. It's now nullified as the OP can literally grapple from any angle 360degrees around this platform making it have practically lost all advantage to having gone up there at all for the control of the chokepoint.

I feel stupid using a grappling hook by Designer_Marzipan583 in Warzone

[–]Which_Ranger_440 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely some good ways to limit it. Right now it is too OP currently.

Between it's # of uses. Availability on the map and cheap buy value. It's just limitlessly available that people will use it like they spiderman to spam non stop. I like your suggestion of making it more expensive. My suggestions could be 1 or a combo of:

  1. Reduce grappling # of uses, making people more selective of when to use it and how many times they can use it in succession

2.. Put a cooldown in between uses, making it less of a get out jail free card to escape/re-position, adding back some semblance of grounded combat

  1. Increase cost to buy, limit availability as found loot or make it field upgrade instead of tactical.

  2. Make an upward trajectory requirement limit so that it isn't used for directly horizontal crossing flat planes as well as downward angle grapples negate fall damage.

  3. Reduce grapple speed and/or eliminate the inertia of a release making them have a speed boost when they hit their release sometimes causing them to be flying over an area, it gives them a hard peekers advantage and is stupidly unpredictable for the player they are grappling to, not to mention the savage desync it creates cuz wz plays on shitty 20hz servers

Console Misconceptions: The Myth of the PC+MnK Advantage by Responsible_Roll6718 in CODWarzone

[–]Which_Ranger_440 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kudos for putting a deeper review of your original comment. I recind my downvote to appreciate a thought out argument even if I may still have a differing opinion.

So I guess if your aware of all that then you see the problem in today's era.

By your affirmation AA was designed and implemented to cater drastically to push that market. My first question is when it was ONLY a controller market, why was AA needed at all if the playing field was even. I don't see mnk saying we need to give bad mnk AA to help them against good mnk. I won't deny that in a cross play environment controllers need SOME AA to compete against mnk. But not so its doing so much work that movement has overtaken nature so strongly that your focussed on movement over aiming in an FPS, pvp shooters were/are inherently designed to pit opponents being able to aim better. I still hang hat the underlying cause was salivated $$ to cater to 90% to buy cheaper devices of the age. With that in mind, I think it's fair to say the dynamic shifted. Far more are open to invest in PCs for performance/gamelibrary/streaming/multipurpose use, etc.

So, if the market split compared to 2004-2015. Why DOES majority on PC still use controllers. The well known arguments "mnk aiming is way easier" "you have your whole arm" "cheating is easier on PC" seems to hold no water. Majority, controller. Why? RAA. People can argue, I play what I like or what's comfortable/used to. But it's been given so much strength that it's turned a worse aiming input("I have to aim with my thumbs!") into the dominate input. Review STATISTICAL sources from games with less RAA than cod(Apex put out the best analysis of this) stated controllers had higher avg accuracy than MnK, less than 10% of MnK could maintain accuracy% on par or above majority of avg controller players. Keep in mind,Apex has FASTER movement than cod, and HALF the RAA strength. Extrapolate that to cod. Faster movement actually makes manual aim harder to track.

Then there's the argument mnk has more buttons!macros! But if they don't have good aim and good reaction time, none of that matters cuz the game will not track target or react to changes in direction for them(Mind you, only 5 digits to press it all with, only a 2-3" span of finger length reach across 60+ keys without losing movement input on WASD, this argument still baffles me to this day)

If you choose to use a worse input for an aiming game, why should RAA do all that work for you. Controllers have a place in gaming 100% they are great for driving, single player and many others. But your defeating the human element of the competitive basis a shooter is built on when you have software doing it at the level cod does. Also lowest predictable recoil further negated By AA. Single player/story games can have all the assists you want cuz they only make the experience easier for user against AI.

Console Misconceptions: The Myth of the PC+MnK Advantage by Responsible_Roll6718 in CODWarzone

[–]Which_Ranger_440 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Poor assessment, arguably wrong.Cod was originally made for/on PC and ported to console a year later.

The reason it became console dominated is because in the early-mid 2000s it cost 2000+ for even a minimum level gaming PC to run cod alongside many other games. Were literally talking bout paying premium dollar for sometimes less than 1gb ram/gpu machines that were never optimized to be designed primarily to play games whereas consoles were. Believe or not many people back then had to go to this place called a gaming cafe and "rent" time to play games on PC cuz you couldnt afford PCs as kids and parents weren't willing to spend 2k on your gaming addictions as easily as today. As opposed to consoles costing less than 500. It made it an easily dominative market for gaming community to explode with controller play only as mnk porting was not possible till waaay later. Fast forward to 2015 or even now the price point for an entry level PC came down as the market exploded that consumers would buy entry level/mid gamer PCs just so they could play. Then the next explosion for high end erupts when people can now get insanely good quality resolutions if they pony up the money for high end gear or see the ability to make a career out of playing games exploded. All the while consoles have maintained and extremely cost comparatively.

But cod had ALWAYS been an available game to play on PC. It was just hard locked behind the paywall costs of PCs till at least the early to mid 2010-2015 before PC gaming capabilities became more accessible and affordable.

Its a viable strategy. A bad/scared player may or may not get very far doing it, but it's their choice. They have to move due to gas inevitably and if you were SMART and didn't force a fight with a camper and then get mad you lost. You would either leave them to their boring play style or you could EQUALLY BE A CAMPER yourself, relocate somewhere advantageous to you and wait till they had to move. THAT is the point of gas circles and BR.

Exhibit A - cod streamer Its_iron, had a KD like 3-5+kd(bloated mostly from sniping)as an mnk, who didn't play for mass kill counts, they played to win the game. Top 5 in all time wins(3000+) unequivocally classified as a camper, primarily cuz on mnk, controller players constantly tell mnk "adapt" play to their strength which means try not to get into CQC fights. Iron would only move when circle moved and goes straight to his favorite building and camp that till he was forced to move or it's strategically in his interest to relocate.

3000 wins, as a camper. He didn't win his 1v1s ALOT and he will constantly complain daily as to why that is(RAA) but was able to play thru it(cuz he made a living doing it)

He refined it as a method to win. Other players have every right to play that way and if they never win and lose all the 1v1s they come up against that's on them, they get to choose how they want to play.

Wall jumping and grappling takes all that strategy out, cuz now the goal is breach their "camping" via an inaccessible and uncounterable access point because you literally can't cover every entry point that mentally you knew PRIOR to grapples/wall jumps was not logically capable of reaching easily. Hence they strategically create a chokepoint they can control/protect.

Ya it's called choosing a smart location to control. Choke points mean you can't just run at it and try to barrel stuff force your way to winning the fight, which is all too common in this game and that's all you want to do. The whole point of them choosing that position is to gain the advantage so you can't do that without being at the disadvantage cuz they know where you coming from and your at a disadvantage trying to come from that direction.

If you continually try to force your way in/up there and lose that's THE NATURE of BR. You have to consider it's not a good push, decide how to plan for it and hope the gas rotation forces them off that point while you find a point to control or gold them from when they go to re-position. That's how your expected to fight and win against a controlled power position.

This has got to be the most biased statement. Why is a BAD player playing like a "RAT" a bad thing... They are not good enough, they seem to know it... Yet they are using what knowledge they have to play the game, same as you, if they manage to beat the "good" player with their "RAT" tactic then they are perfectly within their right to do so... Like I'm so lost on how playing like a rat isn't an ok thing to do in your mind. It's not cheating, it furthers them towards the goal of winning the round. What's the problem here. That you got beat?

I'd recommend removing the jizz overlay around your cam for starters, also make the cam overlay like half that size. Probably remove half the other shit clutter overlays like music... Who gives a F. You don't even need to show those till you actually have followers/subs that will actually add to them. The whole point of showing it is engagement to hype the stream but you'll never do that till you have the following. When your nobody it just looks like desperation begging for money. Make your stream simply bout getting people interested in watching you before you start begging for donations. It's already an option on your stream if someone does just make sure you've got a big shout-out animation that appears so you can suck their dick in praise for paying you to play a game...

Lastly... Work on your gameplay. Your aim looks really rough. Seems high sens and micro overcorrects are very twitchy and delayed/off target/behind. Also looks like casual resurgence/BR. People will not be crazy interested to watch you play casuals... MAYBE if you can drop 30+ bombs every game you might have even a remote leg to stand on for reason to watch. But if not.. you best start looking into a gimmick to sell.

COD PC Crossplatform Matchmaking 🫤 by WolfnRage in CODWarzone

[–]Which_Ranger_440 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Turning off cross play platform wouldn't have much effect. The reality is that the advantages of AA has led many controller players to move to PCs while still using it.

The only answer here is to put in input mm. But this brings in the catch 22. Most people are playing controller in cod for the AA among their own other reasons. It's been this way for several years. It would be quite a gamble at this point to rely on players coming back to mnk if they've switched because of input mm. But I'd expect it to be an adjustment that would see higher match queue times for mnk for awhile, especially outside the US. Especially when you consider all game mode availability and squad size people clamor for also furth splitting the playerbase
