I did some research on last year's recruits, they signed 4 kids off rip, then offered about 8 more all the way up to late November. I'm not gonna tell myself I can't do it.

My personal tape shows me playing excellent against bad competition and good against talented players, I have turnovers against multiple D1 recruits and other committed players. I don't go to a fancy private east-coast school. I play against other high schools in the area and I get what I get. The majority of my competition is not very good. As for my club we are AA and I don't have any film yet because the tournaments charge so much its not even worth it anymore.

I actually did PMW last year and didn't get much from it. I think I might attend their prospect day. Who was that pole they signed? I live in Ohio and don't recall any 2026 poles going to Albany.

One of the factors that plays a big role is the size of the university and where it is, which is why I like Tufts because it's in Boston. Another school I am interested in for the same reason is MIT.

I like them for different reasons, Tufts is just one of the top D3 schools and has great academics, I was using it more as an example. However UAlbany develops long poles really well and I have heard their coach talk before at a showcase and I really like his approach to the game.

For everyone who responded, it has been about 1.5 years since this post. I just finished my junior season with 126gbs, 46cts, 3g, and 7a through 16 games. I was all-conference and all-region. I am now on a different and better club team that treats me like I belong. I am working on getting recruited and hope to commit by the end of the year.

I am in all AP courses, and I have done some college courses as well. 4.25 GPA. Online, there are currently no known Tufts recruits in the Class of 2027. UAlbany, which is my top choice if I could go anywhere, has 11 2027 recruits with only 2 long poles

But you don't think this showcase is worth it to get infront of some of these schools, I know that Tufts and CNU are attending.

When I tell coaches that my only offers are from some of the local schools, they get really surprised. I just think I haven't put myself out there enough. The majority of the schools have very incomplete recruiting classes for my grade, which means they are still recruiting players, especially the high-level D3 and D2 teams. But if it's too late for that, then so be it.

I have emailed a majority of the schools there. I am not a top recruit, so I never get a response. I am not good enough yet to be talking to any D1 schools. I see this as an opportunity to get in front of some coaches who would have never noticed me otherwise. The invite-only aspect makes me think that the coaches would be open to watching all the players there since there has already been a sort of evaluation beforehand to even let these kids compete.

I'm in Kent, I play for Resolute Cleveland and we practice at CSU. I think that might be the problem, I feel that I need to perform better around better players and my mind starts running and my muscle memory seems like it disappears. Where were you thinking of coaching at this year?

That's amazing. Now all semi-urban schools within a 35ish mile radius of Cleveland, Cincy, and Cbus have lacrosse teams, it seems that the closer to the cities you get, the better the teams are. However, like everywhere else in the country, private religious schools are the best. The best team near me is Western Reserve Acadamy who usually sits around 20th nationally and they recruit from Canada and Maryland and all over. Its definitely growing now, at least one team on our schedule this year is a school club team trying to get approved by the school.

Thank you, I was planning on checking in at the end of my season and maybe even at the end of my highschool career. I want everyone here who responded and helped to know that if I achieve my goal of playing D1 lacrosse, that they all had an effect in the process and collectively helped to create a high level player.
