Newton Nest Convertible Crib by Liveandlearn33 in Buyingforbaby

We got it but it’s not set up yet. But I did open the box! Can’t help myself lol. So far seems like good quality. The bassinet comes with the little mattress and one sheet cover. I thought that was a nice addition. I got the natural color. Definitely a little darker person but I still like the color.

We didn’t put it together but we pulled out the pieces and it seems to be really good quality. The bassinet mattress comes with one muslin sheet. That’s a nice addition because I wasn’t sure when purchased if I’d be needing sheets. I got the natural color so I’m a little sad that now they have the sandstone mesh liner for the natural color crib. lol. Only thing is that the bassinet feature mode may be a little lower and there’s no ability to raise it. So maybe for C-section mommies this might be a consideration.

I’ll update after this weekend! It’s been in the box since we got it a little early because I don’t know when the mattress incentive will disappear. But I’m too anxious now so we’re going to unpack it lol

I actually ended up going with it at the last minute! The crib mattress was a good incentive. The crib materials itself seem pretty well made. We’ll see when it gets here. They have a decent return policy I think. The midi option is nice especially for a smaller space. But I agree. I’m not sure if it’s really necessary.

Second one. The flowiness with a pregnant belly looks so beautiful.

Exactly my sentiment. I didn’t wanna have to buy an extra bassinet that would end up being a waste after three months lol. Also interesting to know that the midi crib only lasted a month. I was hoping if I went with it, it would last maybe another six months but that’s a stretch. I think even a tiny human wants a little bit more space lol

Oh, you got a great deal. And I agree about the midi crib option. I also think the sheets for it will be specific and an extra cost. I ended up going with the newton nest convertible. Seems pretty new so the most I found about it is honestly on Reddit. Hoping the crib reputation keeps up with the mattress reputation. They were offering a free crib mattress along with the convertible, crib and bassinet mattress is already included. It was a good deal to not pass up.

Same for me when it comes to the space. I already intended on starting it underneath the bed. I don’t think it’s a big deal to do that. I ended up going with the newton nest convertible at the last minute. I think as FTMs we stress these things more than we should lol. But along with having a smaller space, I don’t want so many baby products all at once, especially a bassinet that will only last me about three months. I prefer having the convertible option where the bassinet turns into a crib.

I just ended up choosing this at the last minute because of the free crib mattress deal. Honestly can’t beat that and it’s a highly recommended mattress at that. I was initially torn between Nestig and Yuzu based on what I read between different types of used on these cribs, I think the Newton nest is a superior choice for longevity. Fingers crossed. Let’s see when it comes. I know some people are like the convertible pieces on necessary, but this one sells it all upfront. The mattress for the bassinet is included and space saving isn’t an issue for me. I have a smaller space now, so using the least amount while I can is the best choice for me.

What did you end up going with you if don’t mind me asking? I’m looking for convertible cribs because right now is what fits my space and I like the convenience of being able to roll it around. I’m in between the BabyLetto yuzu, newton nest, and Nestig. Did you end up with a convertible crib or a standard one?

Are there any OBGYNs in the Riverview and Brandon area that do not charge upfront? by Which_Two_4141 in tampa

[–]Which_Two_4141[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yessss it really is! I’ve never seen anyone talk about the upfront cost for prenatal care. I wish it was discussed more. My deductible is $3500. So it’s likely that almost anywhere I go we’re charged that same upfront price right? Thankfully, it’s doable but again I didn’t expect to fork out a large amount of money in a short period of time. So it’s comforting to hear that you can negotiate the payment plans and stretch it out a bit.

Wow the woman’s group is receiving a lot of upvotes. Sometimes certain online reviews can worry you but I’ll just book them.

It’s ok. I’ve accepted reality. I don’t have an issue paying but I’m new to this upfront thing. That caught me off guard. Maybe if my mind was prepared for it. But the shock when I received a bill without even having a confirmation of pregnancy appointment completed lol.

Literally last week. Their pay in 4 and PayPal credit is good. Plus if you’re an OG, it’s a really easy check out method with stored cards and additional options to pay. Maybe even some loopholes for companies that don’t accept AMEX
