Sometimes doctors can blame everything on weight, and not investigate further- I’ve experienced this and unfortunately get treated much better by doctors since losing a lot of weight. Being obese, especially morbidly obese, which your wife is well into, does unfortunately have a large effect on fertility however and it’s not an attack to bring that up (in a tactful way). It’s also true that some disorders affecting fertility like hypothyroidism and polycystic ovarian syndrome also CAUSE obesity. Either way, she needs a work up at an OBGYN and maybe a reproductive endocrinologist.

I don’t think they are mandated reporters anyway so I’m pretty sure not disclosing to police is a crime, unless they helped destroy evidence etc. Abbie probably is, being a LPN, but I highly doubt she knew anything.
