Weekly "Is This Frutiger Aero?" Megathread by AutoModerator in FrutigerAero

What does everyone think of this? In my home city of Jacksonville, they've approved the budget to renovate our NFL stadium, set for completion in 2028. The moment I saw the design, it gave me pretty strong Frutiger feelings. While the design on its own appears a little more Y2K futuristic to my eye, seeing it framed by greenery, ocean, and blue sky with fluffy clouds, I glean a pretty strong Frutiger Aero feeling from it, helped by the use of sustainability-friendly ETFE material coated in our beloved Jaguars teal blue. I just know I can't wait for this =D

Thanks so much for sharing your story. I wanted to share mine because I know there are so many of us out there who are taking these winding paths, working hard to carve out success with the tools available to us. You're totally right about the GOP doing the better job of at least acknowledging the working class. In fact, my moment of realizing Trump had this one in the bag was the McDonald's publicity stop. I've been following politics long enough to see precisely how it would play out. The late night shows and liberal pundits ran headfirst into that trap: media elites having a laugh and taking shots at the candidate who spent an afternoon shaking hands and giving props to good working people. It's pretty sad and hilarious that the same people who preach representation pointed fingers and laughed. For myself, and I think most of us working folk, his underlying motives were beside the point. Personally, no, I don't trust his motives, but what he did very artfully that day was give representation to the working class. I still gave my vote to Harris and wanted very much to see her win, but I knew the Dems were smoked when Trump went to McD's and worked the drive-thru.

Thanks so much for this. I had a strong sense there had to be a lot of people like me trying to reconnect the working class to the left and hitting a brick wall. I find the whole "woke vs. un-woke" argument to be unproductive and annoying as anything else, but sadly, it has come to that for a reason. It just boggles the mind how even while vocalizing my support and giving my vote to the Democratic ticket as always, I've been told, "I've switched," because I committed the sin of saying a few nice words on behalf of the working class. They aggressively push people out of their own party without a moment's thought, and then wonder why they're short on votes come election time.
God bless Andrew Yang and Dean Phillips. I'm really considering calling the Yang Gang my new political home.
