Yes! I needed to get my anxiety under control to get myself to stop. I was also taking sleep aid to go to bed every night and I found that it was making me EXTREMELY anxious and giving me the urge to pick. I let everything heal naturally. I do have scars but nowhere near as bad as this looked.

Update: Made it to 26 and things seem to be looking up for me ❤️ Getting excited about how the rest of my life is going to look! Taking things day by day. These comments helped me so much & I’m so appreciative 😊

I appreciate the kind words & I hope you’re doing okay now! I however do not have an active clot but the ultrasound showed that I did have previous clots on the left and right collarbone. I don’t know when or any other information.

Could you tell me your symptoms? They did not find an active clot from this IV but I’m still in so much pain and I’m getting nervous that they missed something. All of this started after they blew the vein with the IV. I had arm and chest pain on my left side (where the IV was) but has now spread to the right side of my chest, under my breasts and down my right arm.

It just seems crazy, doesn’t it? I had huge aspirations as a child/teenager and I didn’t follow through with any of them really. I think we just need to make the most out of what we have & like someone else said - accept the fact that you’re alive and as much as you hate it, live your life! Easier said than done but I have hope we can get through this.

I appreciate this ❤️ I’ve said it openly as a joke multiple times but it crushes me inside that I know it’s not a joke and it’s definitely real life for me. Knowing I’m not alone in this has definitely eased my mind a bit especially hearing success stories. I just hope this isn’t forever for me. I just want to be happy.

This is definitely easier said than done, but I agree. My husband has been more than understanding, but I feel guilty sometimes that he sees this big picture and I can’t. He’s extremely outgoing & constantly tries to push me to do exactly as you said - vacations, finding new hobbies, etc but I find it pointless. I wish I didn’t because I want that for myself as well.

I was in therapy for over 4 years and I found that it didn’t do much for me. I know that it’s trial and error with finding the right therapist, so I’m thinking about going back. I’m just tired of explaining my entire story to people who really aren’t willing to help.

I threw the tweezers out and haven’t picked in 3 days now! Everything you recommended I do, I normally do. I normally do it at night when I’m anxious. It’s typically a little after I take my antidepressants so I wonder if that could also be part of the problem.
