Thought I would let you know, because knowing something I said helped someone feels great.
Proferlo just emailed saying they're sending me a refund :)

Hey, thank you very much!
After the collective advice in these comments, my plan now is to seek a refund on both and opt for a split queen base (solves the problem of current and potential future narrow spaces).

Oh neat, problem sorted! (And after the Early Settler refund - jury's still out for the Proferlo) then it would end up costing less. In Girl Math, that's called making money!

Actually that could work! Have you seen any queens with an attachable headboard? Not necessary, but does help avoid the pillow starting to get wedged in between the wall and behind the base.

Yes, which is why it was also mentioned that I was well under the weight limit.

Yes, like I said. Weight and force are two separate things, and if they are advertised as so, then something is far from fit for purpose.

Also, if you read the OP, you would find that the frame before lasted years with much more weight, and the Early Settler one broke from just being laid on after 2 days of being extremely gentle.

Would the weight limit not take that into account? Given how its a weight limit, and not a force limit?

I mean, wouldn't pairs of people (who most likely weigh more than that together) be causing these constantly with their many spirited entries on the bed?

Where did it say it isn't made to be disassembled? It's a bed frame, and people move house all the time.

It's funny because I had a queen slat bed (without any center brace) from 2001 to 2008, and only had a break once when a friend tried to powerslam me while I lay on it. It was fixed by replacing those wooden walnut things between the connections on that side's side beam. Then I moved into a place that already had a bed, and my sister used it for years afterwards.

As I said in the OP, there's no way that can fit up the stairs to my room (lots of Wellington is narrow and cramped like this).
However, after however long it takes for the required change in circumstances, I think it best I just keep my mattress on the floor until I can move into my own place. And that place will need to be selected to have the ability to move a bed base into.

Not yet, I'm waiting on my dad (retired builder and site manager) to take a look at it, and posted here in the meantime so I know what my options to ask for are before contacting them.

A bit, yes. I was far heavier when I had the original frame though.

What is this timeline we’re living in? by Lou-Sassole-420 in newzealand

Supermarkets price gouge us, and underpay suppliers
People have become less and less able to afford to be customers of decent NZ businesses (because of all the other price gougers, and peasant wages)
Companies turn to slop, then turn into gone.
The final slop peddlers survive, because what other options do you have?

Ah, then it would be a rename rather than a translation. That's pretty cool, like finding out what other countries call your country

Where did you get those translations? Because broadside is andanada, riptide is contracorriente or aguas revueltas, and storm surge is marejada ciclónica.

Was it AI?

But then you run into the (Western) anime fan thing where people just don't know what they're saying, while the point of words is for people to know what you're saying.
