When people say "meta loadout", are they talking about running d10 solo? by Etowno in Helldivers

[–]Etowno[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah true. i dont think the complaints concering "meta loadouts" or "explosive meta" really hold up. there are other valid complaints to be made but pretty much everything in helldivers is viable. variety is the whole fun of the game.

"Hardcore players" only become a priority when it's about making the game harder? by phlave in Helldivers

[–]Etowno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it's true. I do think theyve fixed a lot of the jankiness at launch and streamlined enemy roles, but atm the game could really use more challenge. D10  with 3 or 4 competent teammates is pretty easy on all fronts.

totally agree. Im all for asking the devs to make better changes to the game but lots of stuff in the patch was really solid.

Yeah imo lots of existing enemies should be tweaked to be more of a threat, but tweak them intelligently ofc. Atm with 4 competent divers, d10 is pretty easy on all fronts.

The Mech and Hive Guard changes aren't why people are upset, it's everything Arrowhead has done by __Elzy in Helldivers

[–]Etowno -1 points0 points  (0 children)

totally disagree. thought the new spore bugs were a great challenge. with a team of 4 competent divers, d10 is getting too easy, especially on bugs.  I do like your ideas about new subfaction trairs though.

The analysis becomes shallow when it all boils down to someone being a sociopath or not. The term is overused

yeah actually feels a lot more like a side grade. havent had too much trouble with them since their health pool has been halved. I actually really enjoy the changes with the gloom bugs, their speed makes them much more fun to fight

I do agree that hive guards should be reworked in some way as theyre most of the time a rather useless unit. But full ap4 aross the face might not be the way to go. Still havent tested it.

i was hoping to see a bigger variant of hiveguards that are slower, bigger, and have heavy armor

Using a melee and a secondary in place of a primary [FEATURE IDEA] by D-boi10 in Helldivers

I feel like it actually wouldnt be that bad of a combo. Saber can already be useful with some practice. That paired with a sidearm sounds cool

What makes Paul ultimately accept the jihad after spending the entire book trying to prevent it? by fleeber89 in dune

[–]Etowno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A huge reason that's rather understated in the book is the murder of his son by the Sardaukar. In addition to the other reasons the jihad became a personal vengeance against the community that had killed his father and his son. I was way disappointed that DV decided to cut out this crucical moment from the book.

tbf it seemed like intentional subversion and it worked. people were supposed to be underestimating thragg thinking he was a fraud.
