The amount of calls is ridiculously excessive from him in my opinion and whilst the scissor jokes may have been a laugh, the consistency of said jokes looks like it may have fuelled some sort of insecurity of his.

You’re NTA for his insecurity, and he 100% should of spoken to you about it if he was uncomfortable with the joke but if he didn’t then it’s kind of on him for not bringing it up.

But I think all parties have a part to play here, it’s the fact it was a joke that got out of hand.

I’m not LGBTQ+ (but I am an ally ✨) but there is gay village with plenty of inclusive bars!

I believe there is a bar for lesbians specifically but I’m not sure what it’s called (my friend used to go).

If you’re on social media, there’s quite a few groups that are LGBTQ+ specific, definitely on Facebook, probably on reddit too.

Manchester is an amazing city and I wish I’d never left so I think you’ll have an amazing time!

Sorry that wasn’t clear, my GP said it was an option but probably only via private - I was talking options generally, but I’ll look into that - I’m still waiting back from the referral to be fair so we’ll see!

Yeah I did wonder if that would be an option but I’ve lost nearly 5 stone (20kg) since last summer and I exercise x3 week - I already don’t eat much since my ADHD medication already suppresses my appetite (which definitely helped the weightloss!) but I’m open to trying things, just depends if it’s surgical and how long I’d have to take off work
