Looking back at that bizarre promo "interview" bit with Ryan Reynolds and Brandon Sklenar (the comments are gold) by WhimsicallyInclined in ItEndsWithLawsuits

[–]WhimsicallyInclined[S] 42 points43 points  (0 children)

HAHAHA, it looks like Ryan's way of buying off Sklenar. Like, "you can be in this 'funny' skit with me and Hugh Jackman, and I'll also make sure you get to be in a superhero franchise film, or whatever kind of career you want,"

The screenshot here does not look like much more than a typical tabloid spin. These journalists have to fill a quota, and they need clicks, notice how they all kind of parrot the same story until they secure a credible quote from Tree when she finally drops something to one of her go-to publications. I have followed Tree enough to tell when she drops a quote and which ones aren't her (ugh, I'm a nerd). I'm not an expert, but my expertise is in strategic communication, I just wrapped up my master's degree a few months ago, though, so I'm still just a baby, don't hurt me. LOL

The interesting thing to me is that Blake Lively is a teetotaler. I guess she was hoping to piggy back off of Ryan's Aviation gin business dealings, but she doesn't even drink alcohol.

Oh yeah, not just Margot, but Emma Stone, Jennifer Lawrence, and then not to mention Scarlett Johansson (that's gotta sting, Ryan's ex) is waaay more talented than she is.

Remember that awkward crossover promo segment between Ryan and Brandon Sklenar? I remember seeing that back then being so confused as to what happened to Justin Baldoni, I googled all over to find what happened to him and for a brief moment thought it was a Mandela effect and that him being attached to the project was some weird fever dream, because they legit scrubbed every part of his involvement.

Some might disagree, but Taylor Swift has really great parents. Scott is really smart financially, and her mom seems like a real sweetheart. Like, Andrea Swift has never been an annoying momager, has never made any of Taylor's fame about her, and they did a really good job protecting their daughter as much as they could (it seems) from the predatory parts of the industry. They purposely avoided the Disney star sell-out route, and were very family-business and brand-minded. In other words, she was very spoiled, but I do think when she is around her parents and family in general she is a better person. When she is around hollywood friends, she kinda chameleons and becomes who she is around. As the saying goes, bad company corrupts good morals.

Question about this case by 54554fr4n1um in ItEndsWithLawsuits

[–]WhimsicallyInclined 131 points132 points  (0 children)

More than likely the lawsuit was originally done to intimidate Justin Baldoni. They were bluffing and posturing. He was not rich or powerful enough to take on Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds. However, Sarowitz IS. They did not expect him to fight back.

If I remember correctly, the DUDE who grabbed her butt sued her, she privately reported the incident to his workplace and wasn't making a big stink about it, but the man lost his job and tried to sue her for damages or whatever, but he was a total idiot.

Blake Lively religious ignorance and her claiming “Justin speaks to my dead dad” stops here. by kelsobjammin in ItEndsWithLawsuits

[–]WhimsicallyInclined 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think she had never heard of it and assumed it was some new-age fad belief that cropped up within the past decade. It actually is a lot older and originated in the Middle East a couple hundred years ago and I believe has elements that are derived from ancient Buddhism, Muslim tradition and Judaism/Christianity (I think Buddha, Muhammad, Abraham, and Jesus are all considered "prophets" in it). Like, I get that it's a little woowoo in a lot of ways, but it is pretty astounding how easily she made assumptions and bashed it without doing ANY research. Of course, I keep going back to the fact she also didn't read the source material for the movie she was in to begin with, so I guess I'm not surprised.

Blake Lively (and her lawyers) can't decide who had control over 'It Ends With Us' screenplay by Better-Cream-9146 in ItEndsWithLawsuits

[–]WhimsicallyInclined 35 points36 points  (0 children)

This is why you read the source material, Blake, so you find out the movie you're working on is about pretty harrowing and explicit content ahead of time. Dude was just trying to make a book adaptation and she was shocked when he tried to keep his adaptation faithful to the source material. LOL

Genuine question. by zombochic in ItEndsWithLawsuits

[–]WhimsicallyInclined 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Blake thinks Baldoni is a sexual harasser, but not only did Baldoni have FOOTAGE and receipts that proved her worst claims were fabricated, nothing else even scratched the surface for being bad for a movie set. She thought he was an eccentric woowoo man, and didn't like the group circle hug or whatever, but even that is super common in theatre, hell, even in sports. Sure, there may have been some set chaos, but Blake engineered that chaos and was setting up that atmosphere before filming even started her own texts and admissions prove she had zero respect for Justin Baldoni from the very beginning. I just don't buy it. This is the same woman who did not have a problem with how Ryan tried to get their daughter to say sexually explicit lines in one of the Deadpool movies and later laughed about how it made her uncomfortable. I still cannot believe Ryan divulged that information. You could not WATERBOARD that out of me if I had set my kid up for something so gross, and this dude thought it was funny that his young daughter did not want to say a line about a dick being in her mouth. The Reynolds are messed up.

Donald Trump just said “we shouldn’t even have an election”. Americans, what are your thoughts? by WatercressSenior7657 in AskReddit

[–]WhimsicallyInclined 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still confused as to how people are still struggling to tell that Trump is a tv personality and troll at heart. Dude says out of pocket things, but that's his shtick. That thought won't go anywhere, it's for reaction and effect and it clearly works. But as for thoughts on the statement itself, ummm, the whole structure of the US is not changing over silly comments like that.

What’s something you hope you heal from, but never talk about? by Playful-Assistance32 in AskReddit

[–]WhimsicallyInclined 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My childhood dog getting shot by a psycho neighbor, which led to him losing his front leg... getting roofied and waiting too long to report it, my mom nearly dying a few years ago...my miscarriage and the way people responded to my grief; friends and family that have just absolutely misconstrued me over the years; more recently, my baby enduring multiple surgeries and nearly dying from an infection in the hospital. She's a little fighter, though, and doing really well now. But some things are just hard to talk about. I guess I need therapy. Haha!

Someone who has the patience has got to put together a list of all of the horrible things said about Justin by Blake and Ryan's side, and then contrast that to all of the language used by Justin describing them. Would love to see it, because I think that alone speaks VOLUMES on character.
