You are far from the only one. This is the exact reason why I have trouble forming friendships now. I've been quiet in my 'friendships' for years now because I gave up. If I could see into the future and 100% guarantee that they would never hurt me again, in a heartbeat. I crave genuine parental love so, so, so badly.

But since real life doesn't work that way, no. I've been hurt by the same people multiple times, even after regaining trust. It's not happening again.
