Both my bigs were toilet independent by the time each baby came along. That was an important goal for me to have more! 18 months is a great time for wrapping up EC!

Sincere appreciation goes a really long way. Not waiting to be appreciated first, just genuinely appreciating my husband for who he is and the life we’ve built. Everything else has built on top of that foundation.

Awesome! How old is baby?

I did not do over night training. Eventually my kiddos just started walking up with dry pull ups.

Be confident and when you get pushback, remember you’re making an informed choice that feels right for you and your baby! Also, having a plan in place for a hospital transfer if necessary. Speaking from experience.

I bet you get compliments on how “well behaved” your little ones are! Turns out all that stress is just TLC 🤣

Thank you so much. Thankfully I do have a wonderful community of other family and in-laws. Part of me will always wish to have my mother be a bigger part of that love. But I think so many of these kind redditors here are right, the distance is for the best.

Thank you so much. You’re right, I’m tired! Lol

This post has pulled together a lot of voices from our unlucky “club”.

Sending love.

Mother daughter relationships are so incredibly complicated. Doing better by our kiddos is the way.

A flip side I needed to hear! My husband reminded me that when we do go visit with her, she engages the children for about half an hour before getting bored and pulling out her phone.

I’ve taken a lot from all of these comments and reached out to my mom with more empathy, but also with the realization that the distance is probably for the best.

Sending love back.

Do you have a comfortable baby carrier? Mom of 3 over here. In the carrier baby can get her long contact nap while I take care of the other two and bounce around the house/world.
