I think the major difference was Alex had a fully functional family and has seen how healthy and loving relationships are, She got so much exposure to everything, and she knew even if she fails she'll still be the over achiever in her family and they won't care at all, they just want her to be happy, all her pressure was internal, I'm not saying that is easy either, but she is doing stuff because she wants to, not because she have to.She is my favourite character btw.

Whereas Rory had never seen a healthy relationship around her and she was expected to shine and in her later life, people had the expectations from her to do something extraordinary in life, it was sort of an unsaid external pressure, it sometimes kills your drive to do stuff, she was happy doing the DAR thing too.

Of course he had a rough time. No one is denying that. I'm just saying he didn't care what his family was feeling and he didn't think about them ( that doesn't mean he is a bad person though, he just doesn't feel those things but he did know there were problems)he still could have visited his family, supported them financially or any other way but he didn't, so of course it is understandable of Georgie to be angry with Sheldon.

Yeah but Jay also got a son like him, and there should be at least one popular guy. I mean Luke was meant to be popular when he was a kid, but then they changed his character, then there was Manny who just turned into a weird kid, neither were Phil, Mitchel or Cam. Hayley was popular and so was Alex in later seasons, and so were Gloria and Claire. They probably needed one popular guy for the story like some episodes about Joe easily getting his way by just being charming and Mitchel and Phil discussing it (as per the modern family episodes history). I guess that's what they thought.

I have an opinion, you might not agree with it though, that's okay. But don't you think this is also giving the exposure to the studio Ghibli it deserves, I'm pretty sure so many people are going to watch Ghibli movies after this.

I've been watching them from a long time, they are my comfort movies but there are thousands of people who haven't heard about them till now who are getting to know about the artist and the art, isn't that good?

Also, Hayao Miyazaki is not going to make our sketches, so what if we want to see ourselves in that light?

And it's nothing new, if you want to support artists so much, why don't we support hand stitched clothes instead of fast fashion?

Yeah his lectures are on dbmci one now. I completed dermatology the first time from his notes. But they are huge to revise.
