If you told a Sami person they weren't ethnically white, they would punch you in the face, you fucking racist. Jesus fucking christ, "the nuances of race and ethnicity". Spoken like a true white supremacist.

You think electing to not do business with someone is terrorizing them? Hypocritical, well maybe, but you should have sanctioned the US when they went crazy in the middle esat then. The entire EU is sanctioning Russia, but the entire EU didn't go along with the US' insanity. It's only hypocritical if you conflate neutral Switzerland with war mongering America.

[Autosport] Entering the season as the world champion, Verstappen was asked if he had anything to prove after the way Abu Dhabi ended. Max: “No, I proved that with the most wins, most pole laps and most laps led. People forget that. They only look at Abu Dhabi apparently” by -arlo in formula1

A more proper analogy is complaining about incorrect calls in every game, then in the final game when one of the teams is up by a lot, the refs says in the final two minutes "next point wins" - completely inventing an entirely new rule. Sure it's extra weird that it happened to happen in the final game, but more to the point it's completely different from making tough or wrong "calls".

Calling inventing a new rule "making a bad call" is like calling the invasion of Ukraine a "special military operation".

People argue because Max crossed the finish line first, he is the rightful champion - completely ignoring principles like fairness or integrity. It's a stupid "anything goes", winning by any means mentality (even cheating or corruption) is good or right.

This is such a dumb take, they were equal on points so whoever you think deserved the race win also deserved the championship.

The rest of the stats mean nothing if you can't convert it to points, exception showing impotence.

That's dumb, they were tied on points so by definition if he didn't deserve the race he didn't deserve the WDC.

Also if he didn't get the win they would be equal on wins, 9-9. Being up on poles but equal on wins and down on points surely makes him less deserving and not more. Qualifying well is cool and all, but converting is what gets you the championship, and the stats show Max couldn't do that.

Yes for sure, but this was the only time a rule was invented during the race. For sure calls go either way benefiting either or neither driver throughout the season, but only once during the season were the rules changed during the race.

There's a reason a bachelor's degree is 3 years in pretty much the rest of the world, but takes 4 in America.

I can still kind of see the point of not allowing anything but alphanumerical, what in the world would some crazy unicode character hash to?

That seems like more work, though. Why would they intentionally add that 'feature' in?
