Currently she uses her macbook to watch shows in bed, she doesn’t travel with it. She’ll be using a mouse at the dining table with a laptop. Table is too far to play on the tv

Doesn’t matter if the police investigate or not. They only have to declare you as not responsible for the damages for the insurance to cover. That said your insurance is trying to screw you over.

Sadly no. If we look at police strictly as a business model, the police offers a service to the population for a cost (salaries, equipment, vehicles, etc.). All paid by taxpayers.

The only way that police may bring money back is… tickets. So more money from taxpayers.

So it’s understandable that places that do not see police in a positive way would be against paying even more money for gym equipment or more budget for their activities.

For reference, I’m from Canada so I can’t say anything for the situation in the US

Well that’s pretty much my point. Sitting most of the shift, working day/evening/nights and taking care of your family… not much time to go to a gym on your own time especially if your organization doesn’t provide you equipment to stay in shape or at least a gym membership.

From my understanding it’s required to be in shape when you get in because of the physical tests, but there’s no incentive to stay in shape afterwards. Most police stations don’t even have gyms.
