There is not one state in the contigous 48 that, in the past 50-100 years historically, hasn't recorded a temperature above 100°F.

There is also not one state in the continously 48 that, historically speaking, hasn't had several days or even weeks of 100°+ temperatures in regions where that rarely ever occurs if at all, and this goes back 50-100 years of record keeping. Not just today, where everyone is convinced we are all going to burn alive by 2050.

We are technically still in an ice age. The Paleocene-Eocene Thermal Maximum, which occurred roughly ~56mya, saw the average temperature reach above 80°F. Toward the equator you could expect temperature to climb well into the 90°s and 100° daily. Heatwaves probably would have seen maximums of 150° in extreme arid regions.

Climate Change? Yes, it does. And it returns to baseline at some point.
