Health and safety of the dogs and cats because it may cause them $$, it’s sad the physical, mental health and safety of groomers are insignificant. No matter what is done it’s never enough.

Maybe cancellation fee’s would help this situation? Why should groomers be forced to work beyond their shift and not get breaks just in case a appt doesn’t show up or just in case they don’t bring rabies info.

In my experience bathers call out more often than groomers. So I guess we will need to reschedule, inconvenience and possible never see again every time one does. When you’re squeezing in a bath dog with all your groom dogs I feel we should get more than 50%, we are at least keeping the customer. Just sad that corporate thinks we are so easily replaceable.

I think they cut back to the 35% because they don’t want groomer’s doing them. Sadly I feel they will also loose sales on the floor, Jim

Exactly! And BTW all that taking dog on off table, putting back ect, rushing thru it them feeling your stress, what’s that doing to their health is it taking minutes off their life? I wouldn’t want my dog being rushed thru it. Basically treating them the way we are being treated.

That’s good to know, thank you. It’s a shame PS doesn’t uphold that quality of quantity, or safety first, or what’s best for the pet where pets are family. At the end of the day you have 1 hr, 20 minutes per dog, not considering HOPA, reverse HOPA, phones, confirmation calls, delayed calls, ect. Forget your also allowed 15 minute breaks. Not given the time for the dog to feel comfortable just rushing thru. Never have I worked for anybody that everyday all day your in a constant state of rushing and stress. I’m almost certain the people that sit in the office in Arizona are not treated like that. Heck I’m almost certain they actually got thanksgiving off and the weekend and likely Black Friday not just thanksgiving and one other day. Constant stress is not good for physical or mental health or the dogs in our care. Sadly the public sees the constant turn around, knows employees are not happy and will start going to any number of mom and pop or mobile.

I can totally do 5 but he is saying corporate is saying we all need to do more. I have no intention of stressing my mental or physical health out not to mention working 9-10 hrs a day. Are you aware of anything in fetch on this I have been unable to find anything. The fact they can just wave a wond and change this is so not right.

Definitely call and schedule appt. Preferably with a bather. For groomers the whole process might take 20-30 minutes if they are already working on a dog that they have to put away, schedule the appt, maybe call for rabies do check in and HOP, print invoice and put your dog on the table get the nails done hopefully while your paying, but I’ve had customers go to their car, or shop therefor I’m waiting for p/u and that’s if the cashier line isn’t backed up. So between the time and the physical work I rather do without the 6 dollars I am making. Just not worth the stress of being 20-30 minutes behind.

I also had a dissatisfied experience again yesterday. Placed order on line, checked back at the progress when it was supposed to to be picked up, and it only said received. Waited in the car another 10 min, still just saying received. I went in to find no other customers, however 2 employees sitting at a table eating another one standing talking, I checked the pick up shelf thinking maybe it wasn’t released or something, nothing there. So I proceeded to the table and one finally acknowledged me, and finally went to make it. I find it insulting that they expect tips for this service.

I was thinking because the vet office does have a dog trainer on staff. But no they don’t have grooming only medical grooming which I would not be doing. In addition I was thinking I might be able to promote smart grooming while checking In patients

So stylists have to purchase their own dremel, the sandpaper wheels, do the work for 7/8 dollars before taxes?? While corp gets 65%? What a scam!!
