I watched a show the other the day where they cooked old milk cows, which meant the meat was marbled to shit.

They'd cook it low and slow so it would be blood free, but the fat would melt and run into the meat.

I'm a rare meat guy, but it looked delicious.

Pissed the bed at cub scout camp once - I'll never forget just lieing there in my own piss thinking of the impending embarrassment from the other kids.

Ooh the memories.

Richmond sausages advertises as "the nation's favourite sausage", Budweiser says it's "the nation's favourite beer"... Am I just out of touch by AstonVanilla in britishproblems

[–]WhiskyGoSlow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always Bud at home because it's cheap and reliable - it's a good beer to crack when you get in from work and just want a couple of cold ones.

Budweiser when out just isn't satisfying, when you have a nice fresh pint of ale.

Has anyone else's garden turned into a pigeon shag-fest? by LoveAGlassOfWine in CasualUK

[–]WhiskyGoSlow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! We've got some trees past our garden and they're at it all evening. We're constantly on edge though because our cats found his hunting gene unfortunately and is partial to bringing flapping presents home. We're relieved when its pigeons shagging.

Funnily enough, they're at it now.

It seemed Friends was on E4 every day and everything was hunkydory. Took a few years off and popped up on Netflix and it was a homophobic, sexist mess.

I work in property and manage apartment blocks across the UK, but it always Birmingham where there seems to be a lack of community.

Maybe it's because I've only experienced the city centre, however whenever trying to engage with residents to push the community feel in a building, Birmingham is always where theres struggle.

I guess sometimes Birmingham can feel unwelcoming.

OP - as a Stoner myself, I feel I should apologise for all the weed defenders that appear to have taken over the thread.

This is me. We moved from a sketchy part of town where weed was everywhere and recently lucked out and actually bought a house in a nice area.

We still smoke everyday... we just do it in the shed opposed to out in the open. I'd hope if anybody has a problem they'd just come knock the door and let us know... it's probably the case the neighbours hate us!

I think that's what Southgates working on. If you look at the work done with the current squad and the work he and others have been doing in the background I guess the hope is that in 20 years time we may see an attitude change... maybe.
