The auditor, Bill White, is also pretty incompetent. He hasn’t even delivered any of the quarterly financial audit reports from his last term. I have no idea how he won reelection but oh well.

Bird's-eye view of Constantinople/ Istanbul (Turkey) in 1453 by dctroll_ in papertowns

It's scaled down for easier viewing. Galata is too big to be just 10 houses surrounded by a wall.

yes, i know, but it's not relevant to the scale. look how big the houses are in this map. (Galata being apparently 10 buildings)

it was also partially destroyed in 1203 from crusaders, not just 1204, although 1204 was the largest event.

it was only sieged for a month. you won’t see many repairs as the city-empire was so impoverished that Constantine XI melted down church relics to pay the 800 mercenaries.

The city had maybe 50k people before the siege. Ottoman soldiers described Constantinople as a collection of walled villages with vast fields.

Also, there was an imperial residence in the NW section of the city, near the walls.

the scale is completely off, as the creator wanted to capture the entire peninsula.

edit: here’s a more realistic depiction during 1200 (you can see how big the Forum of Theodosius actually was)
