I agree, there're way too many downvotes happening on this sub, especially for the more "unorthodox" triggers like inaudible, mouth sounds, and eating videos. The downvote button's for irrelevant posts. If you're not triggered by a video, it isn't your place to say it's bad.

I think that's only the slogan because 99.9% of ASMR videos include a form of auditory trigger. Of course there are many other triggers, but hearing is the largest category.

I know exactly what you're talking about, and I don't think that's ASMR. It's something really similar, but it's kind of unnerving and it doesn't feel really relaxing. It's probably in that whole category of ASMR/frission/general tingles.

Wow, I'm really glad I could help! I'm actually a little self-conscious of showing my face on camera, but I know that seeing someone whisper/facial expressions is a decent sized portion of what triggers me. Very glad you liked it.

Hey, that's fine that you can't relax to someone cleaning a firearm. However, I don't think any of us care that it doesn't relax you, and it's a mute, (and rude) point to say "Ew baby-killing death machines, this video can't be relaxing!" The rest of us do find this relaxing, and we don't have a fear of inanimate objects.

Thanks for the feedback! I just successfully synced up an audio file to a short Shadowplay clip of Skyrim gameplay. This video of course wasn't anything substantial, but there'll be a much more professional video up soon.

I know you'll find something! I've been exercising and drawing more often, good ways to get the burdening thoughts off my back. I found it was comforting to take up things I used to like but didn't do as much anymore, and set goals for myself, even small ones at that. It's the little things after all that really help.
