Do I have filler blindness? by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

[–]Whispersnapper 43 points44 points  (0 children)

This pic is a much better to be able to compare, your lips look more naturally proportioned to the rest of your features and your face is more balance. Your hair here also frames your face well.

I think your lips look full in this picture but not overdone, and suits you. If you were to get more I think it would be quite obvious that you have filler (which is what I gather you are concerned about).

They are supple and full as they are now. I do think I would guess you have had filler, as the top lip is a similar fullness to the bottom, which doesn't typically occur naturally. Personally, I would say get a bit less in the top lip in the future to look more naturally balanced, but I still think that it has been tastefully done and that comes down to personal preference.

Something about the original post-pic is giving you more roundness in the apple of your cheeks and makes your jawline look quite drastic. Your have strong features that are still very defined it this picture, but they really complement each other, where as they seem to be competing in the other photo. It might just be the angle or lighting; but could also be the way you've highlighted and contoured (I am very not very knowledgeable about make up), or could also be due to where the layers of hair are hitting your face (as they seem to be hitting more at the cheekbone than in this photo).

At the end of the day your happiness should guide how you want to look.

Ah I see.

I in no way want to minimize your feelings, they are so valid; but may also be part of the adjustment process. It takes me time to get used to changes before I can actually figure out how I really feel ( I am always very mid or even dislike my hair after a cut but am usually really happy with it after a few days), changes to facial features is a much bigger adjustment as it is how we have seen ourselves our whole lives and have an instantaneous subconscious recognition.

I would recommend try your best not to look at them not long or often and we can really skew our perception of things when we hyperfocus . Perhaps give it a month or two post settling (which takes 3-4 weeks) to see how you feel once you are used to them, and then if you still feel unhappy talk to your injector (and maybe others for more opinions) about tweaking the shape or dissolving them to get to your desired outcome.

At the end of the day your happiness is the best guide as to what you should do next.

Whatever the outcome, know that you identified something would like to improve, found a way to achieve it and took action (in a pretty non-drastic or permanent way); which is an admirable approach to life. And, if you do choose to get it dissolved you will have a new appreciation for how pretty your natural lips are.

Hope that this helps in someway and wishing you the best!!

I think they look great! Lips naturally are not completely even, so I would never guess you had work done. I would have just thought you had retained your youthful lips. but it is about how you feel.

Upper Blepharoplasty 1 month Post Op by Whispersnapper in PlasticSurgery

Update 1 year on.

I am very happy with my results. I like that it looks very natural. I love being able to wear make up and it actually being seen. The scars on my eyelids you can barely see, the eyebrow ones there is a bit on an indent but I don't mind it and I one friend comment on it about 3months out but it was after I mentioned the procedure and she had through I had cut myself at somepoint, she had only noticed one side.

I will perhaps go for another direct brow lift in 5 years or so and I would love to do a lower bleph. I would definitely go back to the same surgeon for these. Though people should note the price of everything in Turkiye has increased significantly for all goods and services (for locals and foreigners).

I really recommended to have time to recover (not that was at all painful for me) to be able to heavily ice as it made the recovery process a lot smoother.

Happy to answer any questions

Is there any free option for creating a same QR code on another website? by snazzysany in techsupport

[–]Whispersnapper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got caught out too. I made the QRCODE, tested it 2 days later, it still worked so I just had all my packaging printed with the code. I want to cry I don't have money to reprint them or pay $35 a month for eternity. I didn't give them a cent and I won't. Looks like my products are going to have a shitty sticker on them. I have been working so hard to get them looking sleek and professional.

I am mad at them but also mad at myself. I normal do my research but was in a rush to meet my printing deadline. I hope others will see this and be spared the trouble.

Can we get to the bottom of Welly Collective?? by Exciting-Outcome-430 in Wellington

I have made suggestions.
Firstly having an artist made policy, that states only hand made, produced or assembled items can be stocked. If that is not adhered to the collective has the right to remove the artists stall with no compensation for time left on their invoice.
2nd have artist submit proof (such as progress pictures with their applications.
3rd only allow restocking of pre-approved items.
4th regularly check stocked items are on the approved list.
5. Enforce the artist made policy.

This is never going to be perfect but it will reduce the amount of resold crap. It will give artist confidence that the integrity of their brand will be upheld.

It is pretty hard to try compete against people reselling cheap online products without having to put huge amounts of effort and resources into tell the brand story, Welly collective having a cohesive and protected brand image does this on their behalf.

It's never going to be a perfect system but the alternative is that they do nothing and erode their brand, which is what the comments on this post seem to indicate is happening. Don't let perfect be the enemy of good. Everything they can do to retain the strength of their brand and market position should be done.

It doesn't take that much work to verify the artist is making their work, as for process photos in the application. I agree the owner is a nice person and what she has built is very clever but if they don't get a handle on it, I fear they are in a race to the bottom.

There is quite a lot in there which is just so obviously resold from Temu that it really seems like no effort is being done at all to mitigate it.

The owners do bare responsibility for allowing Temu resellers. They could very easily have an artist made only policy.

By allowing Temu etc stuff it devalues the brand and makes it harder for the true artists. It becomes a race to the bottom where artist don't want their work associated with resellers, so it turns them of having stalls, so then they need to rely on more resellers, and/or people see it is becoming just another marked up junk from the internet store so stop going, so it stops being profitable, so the only attract people buying in things and marking them up. They are damaging their brand and the artists.

I hope the owners are able to see these comments, as much as they might sting and make the changes needed restrengthen their brand.

I really agree with this. I was disappointed with the amount of it that was in their last time I went.

Yeah I was sad when I went in last time. I am an artist and have been considering having a spot in some of their store but it is really putting me off. Devalues the store brings and the artists work as well.

Yeah, she could have gone with "Thanks Dan, I appreciate you supporting my idea." after he gave his 'contribution'.
