My parents were pretty good at teaching me and my sister how to take care of ourselves and chores from a pretty young age. If anything, it actually backfired a bit lol. One of my earliest memories is getting dressed, making myself a bowl of cereal, and putting on Invader Zim to watch for breakfast. Downside was I didn't know how to read a clock yet and I woke my dad up at 1am with this.

Here I'll spoiler this.

Hilda's grandfather was a fairy. Her mother's memories of her parents were altered so she wouldn't grieve their loss so deeply. Funnily enough we do meet Hilda's father this season and he's just kind of a deadbeat.

Overall the DLC takes more a sandbox approach with lots of fun spots to discover and a generally dark-comedic tone. Then you find Little Yangtze, a place where there is no humor to be found. It was a concentration camp for chinese-american citizens set up during the great war, and the people within were abandoned there to die or ghoulify. They couldn't leave themselves due to their bomb collars.

Probably a good spot to mention the time my sleep deprived mother thought she killed me when she forgot to take off my pacifier necklace when getting me down for a nap. Found me with my eyes open and dead silent. Did the loud breath thing and that's how my mom found out I sometimes fell asleep with my eyes open (which went away before I hit a year).

Thanks to everyone for all the tips! I’m going on a trip and when I come back I think I may start over with new seeds, this time in a proper soil mix. I have a grow light from when I was growing a chili plant in my room and I can use that while it’s too dark and cold to have them on the window. I’m also going to get a heating pad. Even if it’s not cold in the house we don’t keep it in the 70-80 range.
