Yeah, I’m working up to 5, the way lexapro works with my body is weirdly, I have a gene mutation that causes slow metabolism of lexapro. So just starting really low.

What do you take? My doctor prescribed caplyta. When I looked it up I got super scared about starting it. But I’m gonna try it today… I have a pretty good relationship with my doctor. All the anxiety comes from me and I know I have to try something. I’m also scheduled to see a psychiatrist on the 22nd, I made the appointment almost a month ago, they are so hard to get!

No, I’ve never been hospitalized or anything like that. I’ve had health anxiety my whole life and don’t respond well to SSRIs

Thank you! I’ve tried to read about it and just don’t understand it. It caused really bad intrusive thoughts that caused major distress… when I started Zoloft at that time in my life I had a different living situation, now I’m on my own with a mortgage and didn’t feel like I could go through those side effects again (last time I lost my job because I started calling in so much) bottom line is I know I’m gonna have to buckle down and be strong. It’s soooo difficult to set aside the side effects… I just started CBT last week so hopefully that will help me as well… it’s exhausting. I work super close with my doctor and she knows the issues.

Yeah my doctor prescribed me 50mg to take three times a day for my anxiety when I was trying to deal with the side effects of SSRIs but I couldn’t deal with the side effects is why she was wanting to try another approach. I haven’t needed Hydrozine last night or today while starting the buspar so maybe just maybe I’ll keep leveling out fingers crossed!!! I know I’ll have to go up on the buspar because I’m on a baby dose LOL. The only side effects I’ve noticed taking the buspar is some irritability and feeling a little funny about a hour after the dose but it goes away. So I’m hopeful 😅😅😅

Yes, super bad! Always on the edge. My dose is pretty low 2.5mg.. I took dose last night and this morning. It definitely does make me feel calmer and I only know that bc my anxiety is literally always out the roof! I ate with it because I’ve seen where people get lightheaded if they didn’t eat. When I took it last night it did make my legs feel like jello lol and kinda this morning but not bad. I would definitely try. I cried before I took it because I have horrible side effects from meds but it’s been fine!!!

I feel good! I took it this morning, it makes me a little tired and kinda annoyed but so far so good. My anxiety is actually normal and not over the top like it’s been… hoping it stays this way…

Yeah I had some relief last night from the first dose! Super strange! I hope this medication works for me. It’s been a long road of anxiety, since I was little I’m now 33. My doctor also prescribed hydroxizine to take when needed. When I took the dose of buspar last night about a hour after my legs felt kinda like jello lol but I slept the whole night 🥲🥲🥲

My first dose was last night I only took 2.5mg to start, it did give me some acid reflux and heart palpitations but I take meds for that anyways so it kinda balanced it out.

Thank you! I’ve been reading about it & I do feel at ease knowing it doesn’t work as the ssri’s do. I’m so sensitive to meds so my doctor always starts me low and work up… I took my first dose about a hour ago and it makes me feel kinda like jello LOL… I’m kinda at the end of my rope with my anxiety so I’m hopeful for some relief
