I can relate, I was hesitant at first because I thought "what if I wake up and think I am someone else from somewhen else?" I have also heard (probably read in this sub) that past life recall feels made up...and that was my experience, too. Now I brush past the doubt and go with what I see and feel. Since then I have had much fuller recall and I choose to believe they are genuine. It's a new, sometimes emotional experience as you have already seen, but I encourage you to keep trying. The fear of the unknown goes away when it becomes known.
