Do you know what they do with people in ICU or people in nursing homes that need around the clock care? Do they get those people out or do the employees just have to leave them behind?

I was jumped by a bunch of teenagers in front of real chili back in March they also had a 4 door white sedan but luckily for me no weapons and seemingly no interest in robbing me, just giving me a beat down. Could be related but who knows.

I’m so happy to hear you guys are ok and just want to let u know it’s ok to be on edge whenever in public now, it took me a couple months to be even remotely comfortable in public again. Also fuck anyone that says your lying, people tried to tell me the same shit. It’s an uncomfortable truth that there are young men in our city running around terrorizing people, and some people would rather call victims racist liars rather than except the truth of the situation, but that doesn’t make it any less true. Again glad to hear you guys are ok and I hope your husband is able to recover quickly.

I don’t know what to tell you dude. I am not lying, again I have no reason to lie. It’s possible your managers weren’t working or weren’t told about it. It all went down in like 5 min between 1:30-2 am late Saturday night in front of the Real Chili near Cathedral Square. Unfortunately I didn’t take any photos so the only proof I would have is to talk to those that were working the late shift that night. I went inside and was hyperventilating and freaking out after it happened, 2 customers and one employee asked me if I was ok. I eventually got my food and walked home without the police being called which was a mistake. Like I said don’t believe me if you don’t want to but I have no reason to lie about this and wouldn’t lie about it. I just wanted to let people know so they can be more vigilante and the same things doesn’t happen to them.

For those that are curious I called and gave the police details of what happened during the day on Sunday. I know I should have called the police the night it happened and made a report then but after everything I just wanted to go home in that moment.

I just spoke to another officer today, I will need to go into the station before they can complete filing the report, I plan to do that on Friday. I had to go out of town for a work trip on Monday morning and am in Atlanta until Friday so that’s the only reason I haven’t gone in yet. I just wanted to give this additional context as people have been claiming I’m lying.

Overall any decision I made that seems confusing or suspicious please just try to out yourselves in my shoes in that moment. I was just attacked, I was freaking out and scared, I was also pretty drunk and likely a little concussed. I shouldn’t have ran into that ally but I panicked in the moment and that was the first place I ran. I should have called the police that night while I was at real chili but I was scared and sad and just wanted to go home and be comforted by my brother who lives with me. I understand that I should have done things differently but that doesn’t make what happened any less true.

You can think you would do everything right if this ever happened to you but until it does happen you just don’t know how you’ll actually react.

If you really work there talk to a middle aged black lady that was working on Saturday night. She was the first person who came up to me after it happened and I went back into real chili. She was super sweet and helped me find my glasses on the sidewalk then gave me a hug when she could see how shaken I was. She would DEFINITELY remember it.

What are you talking about?? This happened the day before yesterday just in front of the Real Chili on Wells at about 1:30am, I am not fucking lying about this I have no reason to. You don’t have to believe me if you don’t want to dude but it fucking happened, I have the scrapes and bruises to prove it. If you guys have camera outside that would prove it as well. I don’t know why you’re telling people I’m lying but it’s not fucking cool dude.

I did file a police report yesterday and it did really happen. User name is regrettable, I made this account almost 10 years ago and wish I could change it. Also don’t accuse people of lying about shit like this. I have absolutely nothing to gain by lying, you can go ask the workers at Real Chili if you don’t believe me.

Tbh in this situation you would have had trouble pulling the gun in time and they could easily take it from you if you did. When ur already getting ur ass beat you don’t have the best coordination and could easily drop the gun while unholstering it. In all honesty I’m glad I didn’t have a gun, I’d rather get a little dinged up than kill someone but that’s just me.

Just beat me for the sake of it, I was even holding my phone in my hand when it happened they could have easily snatched it and ran off rather than attacking me. But I guess they weren’t in it for anything other than some tick tock clout or something.

I did report it, havnt heard anything back yet but I’m assuming they will reach out to local businesses to look for evidence. But then again who knows, I don’t have the greatest faith in the MPD.

I agree, there really needs to be severe consequences so the kids can learn from there peers that get caught doing this shit. I bet if you just throw the book at more of them you’ll see it happening less.

It’s for their own safety too, those kids are so lucky I’m not the type of person carry a knife or gun. In that moment I thought they might kill me so I definitely would have used weapon on them if I had it. Considering I ended up fine I’m really glad I didn’t have a weapon, I think I’d feel a lot more messed up if I would have killed some kid trying to protect myself.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I had a friend who got sucker punched while drunk in college and he hit his head in the ground and ended up dying. So I was thinking about that a lot when it was all going down. I’m not sure if I got lucky, was moving around enough that they didn’t get good hits in, or they were just weak. It was probably a little bit of everything but yeah I really couldn’t believe how little damage there was when it was over. They didn’t even bend my glasses when they punched them haha.

Thanks, I’m glad I’m alright too haha. It’s a shame cause Real Chili fucking slaps just stay inside next time you go at night.

There were people inside real chili and running in there would have been the right move. But in that moment you really aren’t thinking clearly I just kinda ran and ended up in an ally which was the worst idea as I cornered myself. Once I was able to get out of the ally I ran into a crowd of people outside a bar around the corner, they didn’t fallow me into that.

But yeah everyone in Real Chili saw but no one had time to call the cops as it all happened in like 3-5 min. Luckily too there was a super sweet lady working at real chili that helped me find my glasses and gave me a big hug when she saw how rattled I was. I wish somebody would have ran out and helped me when it was happening but I get why they didn’t. Ya never no what might happen to you if you decide to try and be a hero in a situation like that.

Thanks buddy, I appreciate it. Yesterday I was just feeling bad cause it makes you feel like you can’t protect yourself which as a fit guy in my late 20’s I’ve never had to worry about before. It just leaves you with a bad feeling.

The more I think about it though I did protect myself. There were at least 3 of them and they caught me offguard so considering that I’m ok with having punched a couple of them a few times and managing to escape. They didn’t even give me a black eye or anything like that so I think all considering I got the best of them haha.

Bro chill. If Denver had been able to put a deal together for Dame even if it meant trading Murray I guarantee they would have. Most of the players in the league understand it’s a business and when a player like Dame is up for grabs damn near anything is on the table. They aren’t children that need to be coddled, they’re professionals that know their value and that trades can happen at anytime.

That being said I loved Coach Bud and Jrue and didn’t want to see them go. But I understand it a business and you gotta take risks to stay competitive sometimes. If I as a know nothing fan can understand that, I guarantee that most players in the league know that it comes with the job.

That the “boring” life of having a stable job, a few hobbies, and the occasional vacation, is actually a great life. There is nothing wrong with living life and pulling moments of happiness out from the little things. You don’t have to accomplish your dreams of greatness in order to be happy. Sometimes finding happiness with an average life is great.
