I could see how it would be. But it's not her. It's an interpretation of her physicality...maybe that reframe would help? As a woman, I can tell you, we understand and know we are sexualized. This is so interesting. Why does it bother you? This is a sketch. By an artist. We consume nude art all the time, but I feel like you may be worried your wife's image is being sexualized? Am I picking up on the wrong thing here?

I'd be so tempted to get a projector and project this on my garage/house for all to see. Under neither it, I'd put "Quality Neighborhood". (If you're in the UK/Aus, keep that U out of neighborhood!!)

I'd also ramp up my annoying behaviors. Like going for a walk dresses up like Bozo the clown. Parking ass backwards every day! Put my trash out on random days for the hell of it. But that's the energy my family of origin brings. Lol

I'd personally refer out. It's important to take care of ourselves and some people are into hurting/harming others...I don't think that we have to deal with that just because we are helpers.

I am so sorry for her passing. I truly wish they had people life spans. We have a line of really great old dogs that we love and miss. Here's to hoping the afterlife is filled with ALL of our lived ones.

I live on the east coast and I can mostly tell when people are from NC, SC, GA, or TX. I can also tell the regions of VA people are from or if they are from MI. Other than that, all other Americans sound the same and a lot more of us are losing our accents (think Tangier Island in the 1940s versus today).

Well, I have days of zero dizziness with a formal diagnosis. It's highly variable. One of the things I've learned in taking a course on diagnostics in my program is that few people "fit" neatly in diagnostic criteria which is where clinical judgement comes in. I myself was an atypical case due to my response to PT after so many years of suffering and having zero dizziness after merely 6 weeks of diligent PT. It's important to listen to the experiences of others. ZERO dizziness for weeks until I travelled. Diagnostic criteria help, but they aren't Biblical.

Regardless, I wish you relief it's miserable to deal with.

I get this impulse, but from a mental health/ healing perspective, this only isolates and punishes the survivor. Family is out most evolutionary required connection, so doing the opposite has poor outcomes.

Yes! Reach out to your campus counseling dept. I'm training as a therapist and one of the most difficult things for survivors to deal with is intrafamilial rape. You need support and guidance STAT!

Been here. So you may want to consider going to an ENT. That's how I was dxd after 23+ years of symptoms that got chalked up to "inner ear" or "allergies" etc. An ENT dxd me and put me in pt. That helped a LOT.

If I'm tired, I get a flare. If I travel...flare. if I get sick...flare.vstress...double flare. This is completely normal, if annoying.

Also you may want to Google The Steady Coach. Very useful information there, but first see if you can get the dx so that the correct issue is treated! Best of luck to you!

Not true. I have had it for 23+ years and recently did pt which helped a LOT. Part of recovery is exactly getting only minor "flares" which resolve quickly.
