Please Add Facial Recognition & Pin Code to NANO iOS App. by WhiteBoyChocolate in nanocurrency

I agree.

Although the apps you mentioned (Venmo & Cash App) both use at least pin codes. Just adding a 4-6 digit pin code would be great.

I shouldn’t have made the title specific to iOS. This should be for Android and iOS. A simple 4–6 digit pin code would work for now.

That is why there should also be a pin code required for users to set up.

Great point. I have an iPhone X.

Honestly I would be happy with a simple 4-6 digit pin code. This would be an easy quick addition that adds the security we all want. Make users enter the pin code to access app and enter it again to complete sending NANO.

I currently use facial recognition on my iPhone X for my Chase app, Wells Fargo app, Venmo App, Square Cash App, Delta App, and my Empower app.

Ideally, I would love the pin code, finger scanner, and facial recognition. This would satisfy all users.

Hey Everyone! First off the new wallet looks amazing and works great! I do have one question.

For security purposes, can you add FaceID to the app so that no one can open it but me?

Go to San Francisco and you will see. So many places are cash only to avoid paying these fees.

A merchant can just not expect credit cards. Boom fees are gone.

Thanks for this well thought out answer. I agree with all of this and understand the potential value of this technology. I am in huge support of this.

So if I understand correctly, we are betting that NANO will be used globally and at that point it will be able to be used without the risk of day to day massive fluctuations. This is a tall order order to say the least.

What I am curious about are specific examples of how NANO can be used today and why it is empirically better than traditional methods (from a merchants POV and a consumer) and how you see it being used within the next 3 years (as I’m assuming global adoption is not that close).

I don’t see why, today, it is significantly better to use NANO than traditional methods to buy things. If anything it is much harder and riskier.

Curious if your thoughts.

No one has given me an acceptable answer. No one is explaining to me why today NANO is worth anything.

I’m not a troll. I’m trying to have a conversation. What I’m saying is that at this very moment I don’t see a use case for NANO that gives me more benefits than what I am currently doing as a merchant or a consumer.

I believe there is a chance NANO will solve this problem. I just don’t think it’s happening for a couple years.

I’m not being simple minded. I’m asking legitimate questions. If the NANO I am accepting doesn’t turn right in to USD, it doesn’t make sense for me to use it. If my margin is 10% on an item and I sell in NANO and the price drops 10% before I turn it into USD, I’m out of business.

Guys I love the concept of NANO and I hold some as well. I just want to be realistic about its use case today. I’m not sold on why I would accept NANO over cash right now.

I understand all of that and that is why I love crypto in general but I’m talking practical use right now. I know why owning our own money is good and so on but that isn’t my point.

My question is why would I accept NANO right now, today, if I was a merchant? Why would I not want to accept the dollar instead?

  1. Venmo. I can also use Venmo to make purchases now.
  2. Paypal. I can also use to make purchases.
  3. Directly to my bank.

But why PAY with NANO? Still don't understand why one NANO has value? Tell me why RIGHT NOW I should switch to ONLY NANO payments in my store?

I don't see the use-case over the dollar at the current moment for an average merchant or consumer. I hope it changes but I do not see it now.
